I had a dream where I was killing zombies from Walking Dead alongside Daryl Dixon. I don't have a gun so I stab them in the head with a knife. There are times when I almost get bit by a zombie but I manage to kill them. It seemed like we were trying to prevent zombies from getting into a house. In one part of the dream I walked into the house and saw a zombie sitting on the couch and it looked dead, but then it came alive and I killed it. I saw Mishone there too, but only for a couple seconds. Then Daryl and I were having a conversation which I don't remember except the part when he said that we should sleep outside and I asked, "But won't the zombies come?" He said "no, there's fences around, they're not gonna get us." After he said that, zombies were breaking through the fences and we had to kill them until the last one was dead. Then we went inside and I walked into a room where my family was in there sitting on the ground and my 8 year old brother was sleeping with his shoes still on. Then I walked up to the oven where people were cooking. And that was when my dream ended I think. Any insights? IP: Logged |

I have frequent zombie nightmares and I think they can mean different things. Very short and sweet zombies can represent large social forces seeking to suppress who you are force you into living a lie (explaining why in one dream where I was back in the Bible Belt a preacher managed to raise and control a zombie apocalypse, though a hilarious dream was one where I was actually Jesus while also myself and decided since I'm Jesus I'll bring my best friend back from the dead...only I goofed and instead created a zombie apocalypse and all the zombies were wanting to eat of my flesh and drink of my blood... ). This could be school, church, family, job, or even society in general. Zombies can also represent extreme stress or, I believe, fears of the past (which one thought or at least hoped "dead and buried") coming back to haunt (and bite) you and can represent a literal threat (that you're already aware of, subconsciously at least). As for having Daryl Dixon (and just for the record I've only seen s1 of the WD so I don't know what his character is like now--I think you should ask yourself who or what does Daryl Dixon make you think of, or even better, what traits do you share or wish you shared with Dixon?) and a place of sanctuary I'd say you have a safe spot OR you feel you're probably strong enough to resist whatever is stressing you out or otherwise trying to dominate you into doing things you don't want (or otherwise a danger) and yet you're worried you may not be strong enough or your safe space may not be enough to protect you. Using a knife might mean you need to cut someone from your life or separate yourself from a situation (including family or a job) in order to remove the source of stress and/or threat. Of course the dream could just come from watching too much Walking Dead and not have any particular meaning. IP: Logged |

I like PixieJane´s point of few. Please read it as an opinion: A zombie in a dream is associated with the question: What do I fear to let go? To see people cooking in a dream can mean that the dreamer seethes with anger or wants to prepare his little soup by the fire of others which cook only with water as well. This dream indicates that there is no fear (=killing zombies) anymore and everybody cooks with the same water (=other people). Edit:
