I was on a beach. It was at night and sort of foggy. I could hear the waves as they came in but couldn't really see them. I turned inland because I was going to walk that way because the ocean made me nervous, like there would be a tidal wave or something. But something stopped me and I looked down and there was a rope around my waist and it was being pulled on. I followed it with my eyes and it went somewhere into the fog and water. There were buoys tied to it every ten feet or so. So the rope was pulled tight and started pulling me toward the water and and I was extremely nervous about that but sort of curious at the same time so I finally ended up letting it pull me that way but I was going really slowly. I was surprised when my feet touched the water that it wasn't cold and, in fact, it wasn't even wet. It was very strange... It was some sort of... something... maybe like a thicker fog? I don't know but I was pulled out into it about to my waist and then the rope tension stopped and, of course, there was the dark-haired man that sometimes shows up in my dreams if anyone remembers and we just stood there and stared at each other for a while. It was tranquil, comfortable. I could hear someone back on the shore worried about me and expressing some concern but I couldn't see them through the fog so I just assured them that I was OK and there was nothing to worry about. The color of the eyes would give a more detailed direction.
Please read it as an opinion:
A rope in a dream is associated with connection or restriction. A fog in a dream can mean to be on the quest of clarity.
This dream indicates a search for clarity (=fog) with regards to the connection (=rope, buoys – BTW: an interesting word) with the dark-haired man.

Hello MoonWitch  Clarity is what we all would like to find concerning the dark-haired man. In that regard, and on that level, I agree with GeminiKarat. But this man, I believe, operates much from/within the unconscious realm (ocean) and thus much about him is concealed by an "astral fog". I do not believe clarity will be had unless you truly want it. To me, the dream reflects the "pull" that He has upon you, and the confliction you have about the "pull" (extremely nervous/curious)(land/sea, rope around waist = division between upper and lower). I think there is a feeling of danger and fear concerning too much clarity, as this would have an unknown effect upon the physical, emotional, and/or spiritual life.  IP: Logged |
