I had a dream with lots of agitation, and people. Suddenly I was standing in front of a slightly upward, narrow, forest path *the path was flanked with similar trees) in the middle of the agitation (with people, cars, people standing in lines for food- fast food kind, kebab in particular, not the apocalyptic kind lol) leading to a huge tree, the tallest I've seen in my inner or outer life lol. I am positive it was Coast Redwood (sequoia, which is a cypress genus) but it was ten times taller than normally depicted which is this:

The tree was immense, out of this world.

What do you think, GK and Ra and everyone else?

I did not know that an Austrian gave this tree - which grows in California - the name sequoia sempervirens. Shame on me.

In my opinion this tree wants to give you a hint on your immense Cherokee roots. It would not surprise me.

oh, that is one interesting insight, GK. Thank you
I like your idea because it relates to language, a specific language. When I was little, in school, I "invented' a hieroglyphic language, and we were passing coded messages with it during classes isn't that weird, how you saw this connection?

I now need to study Cherokee heritage and visit those trees too

I also like how you mention sempervirens, I will take it as "hard to kill".

Nah Look at what I just found:

Redwood/Sequoia Tree

*Nature-Speak/Ted Andrews
Keynote: Ancient protection and balance; pursue new visions.

The sequoia family of trees is home to some of the largest and oldest spirits upon the planet. This is reflected in throughout the family of redwoods. They are conifers of great size and age. The General Grant tree is more than 270 feet high and the Boole tree is 25 feet in diameter at a point about 15 feet up from the ground. They live in higher altitudes and the sequoias only grow in groves. These groves serve as a council of spirit, and there is a gentle but powerful sacredness to the groves. One cannot enter them without a stirring of our own sense of the sacred.

They have tremendous resistance to decay and even to fire. The sap of the sequoia contains tannic acid, which has a great healing capacity for the trees, as the tannin does for humans. This enables them to live longer, but because they are so long lived, they do not produce as many cones as other conifers. There is not that need to reproduce so extravagantly.

Redwoods are practically immune to termites and other pests. Their energy immediately helps put our own life pests into perspective. They strengthen and heal the aura so that we are less affected by the buzzing of the daily pests we encounter. They remind us to look at the bigger picture.

Redwoods live an extremely long time - 1500 or more years. They are ancient and they are direct descendants from the time of evolution known as Lemuria. Alignment with their essence can open one to understanding the evolutionary cycle of humanity. The redwood spirit helps the individual to put his or her life into an entirely new perspetive. Its essence awakens a clear insight into our own personal vision of life and what must be done to follow through upon it.

Being around the redwoods stimulates great spiritual vision-- especially of the etheric realms. And even after short visits, the psychic amplification continues on, for even months afterwards. It activates the brow and crown chakras, although if not properly balanced, it will manifest as unbalanced imagination and even superstition. It awakens within the arua a vitality that is simulataneously soothing and stimulating. It awakens extended growth periods that will touch strongly upon soul levels.

The redwoods are ancient spirits who try to help us gain perspective about our life. Do we need to step back and take a new look at what we are doing? Is it time for us to pursue our true visions? Redwoods remind us that there is always enough time. Great changes and great growth occurs just a little at a time.

Redwood forest stands for inner strength; fortitude.

I also found this: (posting it for other "treehuggers" like myself

Sequoia is a genus in the cypress family Cupressaceae, containing the single living species Sequoia sempervirens.

Common names include Coast Redwood and California Redwood (it is one of three species of trees known as redwoods).
She is a long-lived evergreen, she could be older then 2000 years, but she will tell you 'age is irrelevant'.

She grows quickly reaching sometimes over 300 ft in her first few hundred years.

As she ages and accumulates wisdom she thickens, up to 26ft in diameter.

Planet: Jupiter

Element: Fire

Symbolism: Balance

Deity: Norse God Thor who is the spirit of thunder, storm and lightning, and the Stag-god Orion who in Greek tradition is the archetypal Hunter. Also, Heaven and Earth.

Rune: Alferic Ogham (looks like a twin spearhead.)

Constellation: Sagittarius, the Archer, and the Centaurs.

Medicinal properties:

Inner bark infusions treated jaundice and purified the blood, and warmed foliage was used for earaches. The gummy sap was taken with water as a stimulant and a tonic.

Magical properties:

drawing down power from Heaven to Earth, spells of religious seeking and discipline, spells of mystical union with nature and wild animals, hunting magick, the martial arts as spiritual discipline, and spells for innovation and sudden revelation.

Milled redwood is excellent for wands, which has a very broad and beautiful grain, is quite lightweight and soft, and which has a dark red color without the need of any stain. The wood tears easily as so is not well-suited to detailed carving.

Redwoods are resistant to fire because they produce very little resin and pitch.

They produce tannic acid which protects them from rot and insects.

When an old Redwood dies or is cut down, a new one sprouts from it's roots. The roots never die.

The Giant Redwood is the most magnificent of all evergreens

Redwoods are the largest living creatures on the Earth

The only way to stop a Redwood from growing is to have it struck by lightning.

Instead of chopping down the trees, humans tunnel through them

Though a tree grows so high, the falling leaves return to the root.

I think that the tree is trying to tell you that it has seen a lot. I think the tree is saying that even though in todays day and age, where the culture seems asleep to the deeper truth of existence while they go on about their business eating fast food and such (moving so fast to not even stop to know the tree is alive), the tree is silently awaiting when we would wake up. Perhaps the tree is even suffering on some level. The tree is trying to make you remember your knowledge of what you know about them in times past.

I have a deep connection with trees.

Since the tree is huge, I think its saying I am wise and I know things that you do not. I have seen a lot and have seen the sun rise and fall many times. Trees have a lot of wisdom. Imagine how many years the tree must have lived to grow that tall..

That is a very interesting input, Athene, thank you. It makes sense, considering the discrepancy between the wooded path and the tree in the middle of a hectic crowd. I also find out "kebab" means "burning, frying", that is an interesting clue as well.

That describes you very well in my opinion. As it is a shallow-rooted plant I would add your personal connection to the world.

As you are an astrologer you can try to find a connection to Jupiter in your chart as well.

I wish you you all the best on your further research!

GK, this insight is priceless, since Jupiter is the apex of my Yod, I didn't realize that!

Thank you so much for your kind words and these amazing suggestions!

Absolutely, GK I was just thinking that it's more of a cone than a pyramid. And interestingly, not just the tree (and yods) is a cone, but it also has cones lol

And this is a sequoia cone:

And this is General Sherman, the world largest tree at this point; (Sequoiadendron giganteum)

and his brothers
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2235452/Gia nt-sequoia-National-Geographic-pictures-giants-forest-Sierra-Nevada.html

However, the world's tallest tree, very similar to what I saw, is a Sequoia sempervirens. His name is Hyperion and his exact location is, I believe, hidden from the public.

115.61 m (379.3 ft)
http://iliketowastemytime.com/2012/10/01/oldest-tallest-and-biggest-trees-in-world

comparison with other conifers/younger trees:

In Greek mythology, Hyperion (/haɪˈpɪərɪən/; Greek: Ὑπερίων, "The High-One") was one of the twelve Titan children of Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky or Heaven) who, led by Cronus, overthrew Uranus and were themselves later overthrown by the Olympians. With his sister, the Titaness Theia, Hyperion fathered Helios (Sun), Selene (Moon) and Eos (Dawn).[1]

Hyperion's son Helios was referred to in early mythological writings as Helios Hyperion (Ἥλιος Ὑπερίων, "Sun High-one"). In Homer's Odyssey, Hesiod's Theogony and the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, the Sun is once in each work called Hyperionides (Ὑπεριωνίδης, "son of Hyperion"), and Hesiod certainly imagines Hyperion as a separate being in other writings. In later Greek literature, Hyperion is always distinguished from Helios; the former was ascribed the characteristics of the "God of Watchfulness, Wisdom and the Light", while the latter became the physical incarnation of the Sun. Hyperion is an obscure figure in Greek culture and mythology, mainly appearing in lists of the twelve Titans:

Of Hyperion we are told that he was the first to understand, by diligent attention and observation, the movement of both the sun and the moon and the other stars, and the seasons as well, in that they are caused by these bodies, and to make these facts known to others; and that for this reason he was called the father of these bodies, since he had begotten, so to speak, the speculation about them and their nature.
—Diodorus Siculus (5.67.1)

There is little to no reference to Hyperion during the Titanomachy, the epic in which the Olympians battle the ruling Titans.

As the father of Helios, Hyperion was regarded as the "first principle" by Emperor Julian,[2] though his relevance in Julian's notions of theurgy is unknown.
