For hours and hours I had different variations of the same dream and woke up countless times. I'd dream I woke up so the dreams seemed completely real. It was variations of someone breaking into our house and each one increased in detail and violence as the night progressed.

From hearing them downstairs, trying to call 911, getting the knife out of my bedside table, my husband getting his gun out of the closet... to them killing our dog, going towards my son's room, killing my husband, me killing one of the intruders with my knife...

ugh just horrible...

It also gives me more than a chill, cause I last night dreamed that both my parents were dead. Not sure how they had been killed, I guess it must have been an accident. But that was so creepy. Actually I was being given a choice I think, as to what I wanted. And I said I only wanted my parents back to life (I am not sure but maybe that meant at the same time to sacrifice personal love/ relationship).

Well the dream is quite clear for me, still it`s chilling to come here and see you had to dream of the death of loved one too.

Your awareness is trying to "wake up" (dreamed you woke up) to a message/material from your unconscious (intruder). The material is likely knowledge that you fear, that you have pushed into the back of your mind, and it is attempting to make itself known/remembered/recalled at this time. The fear/danger seems to be emotional in nature, striking at the very heart of the things associated with your everyday, "normal" emotional life (home, family, dog) This buried fear/belief/thought-form is a threat.

Any details about the intruder could shed some more light upon the nature of the fear/threat.

Ceridwen - that's a horrible dream you've had. I hope your dreams have calmed since you posted. I have had dreams about death, even the deaths of loved ones, where I can wake up and rationally interpret the symbolism. Then there are dreams that really hit to the core and are full of intense emotion. Ugh... those are hard.

Ra - I'll get into some more detail from the last dream which was the dream that went into what would seem more of "dream material". The dreams evolved over the night from super realistic and scary but managable, scary and horrifying. Each dream changed and progressed as the night went on.

So after the dream where I killed the intruder - actually, I'm not entirely sure I killed him but I did stab him and I thrust my knife all the way in - and my knife is substantial - but I suppose I stabbed him in a place where he could have survived - on the chest but higher than the heart and towards the shoulder.

Anyway, either he was dead or incapacitated. I woke up for real (I think) and fell back to sleep where the dream started again, it was violent and everyone in the house was dead, even the dog, and the cat had escaped. I ran out of the house and there was blood everywhere - just big pools of blood in various places but I didn't see any bodies. I ran down the street and there were fights going on everywhere, there were zombie-like people going after the regular people.

Please read it as an opinion:
This dream indicates that the dreamer should wake up (=woke up in the dream) and find (=looking for) a way of defense (=911,knife,….).
