I had this dream recently. I've been trying to figure out what it means, but it's not coming together for me.

I was standing in line at a restaurant or cafeteria with my friend Julia (Julia is very bubbly and likeable, sometimes anxious and dramatic). I looked over and saw a bunch of nuns also standing in line. They were wearing light blue habits and dark red knee-high boots (I'm not sure how I saw the boots - their habits must not have gone much past their knees). I was really admiring their boots - the shade of red was beautiful and I was struck by how unique they were. I was wearing black knee-high boots - I think they were suede, and they were dressy boots. After we all sat down, the nuns were doing some sort of "test" with us. I think they were trying to make sure we were worthy to eat the food. This kind of frustrated and annoyed me a bit. My friend was wearing a necklace, and the nuns were saying that they needed to make sure the necklace was not plastic - that was the test - if the necklace was plastic, we couldn't eat there, but if it was not plastic, we would be allowed to eat. They inspected the necklace and found that it was made of genuine stones. I think the stones were gray - they might have been a mix of black, white, and gray. I don't remember eating the food, but I think I felt a little sick right before I woke up.

I think this dream is about choosing (cafeteria/restaurant) what to "incorporate" (food) within yourself (such as a belief or system of belief) and proving oneself worthy of the endeavor (fake or real stones).

What do you associate with nuns? Dedication, belief, faith, religion, restriction? What do you need to be real or authentic about?

That's interesting, Ra. I think that makes a lot of sense too. I think I associate nuns with purity most of all. So maybe it has something to do with purifying myself through the incorporation of new beliefs - kind of like that dream I had of vomiting the cranberries where I purged myself of limiting beliefs I learned from my family. That also fits nicely with GeminiKarat's thoughts - my journey should be based on purity and communicating unconditional love?
