Another recent dream I can't quite figure out. I was running a research study. A woman I work with had recruited a baby named Sage to participate in my study - I'm pretty sure Sage was a girl. For some reason, I wanted to change the methods of my study even though I had already started collecting data from other participants. But people were watching me so I didn't want to change the methods in front of them. I may have been embarrassed to admit that I was changing my mind about how to do the study. So I decided to stop the experiment and said we would try again the next day. I guess I was hoping that the people would not be around the next day. The reason I gave for stopping the study was that the baby kept hitting random buttons on the cassette player, so I said she was messing up my study or I couldn't get good data, or something like that. A man I work with was standing there watching all of this while he ate Cheetos (this man is a health nut in real life). Also, my parents were there talking about how they wanted to farm out more of their land for growing soybeans. This dream makes absolutely no sense to me. The only thing I can figure out is there is something significant about the baby's name, and the fact that I wanted to change the study but was trying to hide that from others. IP: Logged |

Please read it as an opinion: Sage = ages Although there was no change for a long time (=Sage) you may see with the new beginning(=baby) that some things appear in a different way (=health nut eats Cheetos)IP: Logged |

I'm just throwing this out there. Depending on your view on babies it could represent responsibility in your dream. The work you had in the dream seems like you were embarrassed or unsure about how to handle the task. Things could be coming to the surface and you aren't quite ready. The cheetos could be a sign of slacking or change. Sage is used in some medicines or of course in food. Maybe an uncertainty towards tried and true methods. all random thoughts tho. Have a nice day IP: Logged |

I like your thoughts, especially for the word Sage and Cheetos. The final connection will remain to k8362. IP: Logged |

And of course I completely forgot... Just thought of it now.. Sage has another interesting meaning that could make even more sense. Sage: -A mentor in spiritual and philosophical topics who is renowned for profound wisdom. -Having wisdom that comes with age and experience. -the grey-green color of sage leavesIP: Logged |

Not strange at all, infinite.nebula! I think the idea of the sage as a spiritual mentor fits very well. I wonder if the baby represents how I'm just starting out on this spiritual journey, so I'm starting to gain some wisdom (but I'm still just a baby). I've been thinking more about the embarrassment I felt about the experiment and wanting to make changes, and the meaning of the cassette player. I think this might be about me getting too much up in my head and intellectualizing things too much, which is preventing me from listening/hearing (cassette player) and following my intuition (which would fit with the baby sage as spiritual mentor or inner wisdom). I've been thinking lately about starting to meditate regularly, and now I'm thinking this dream was possibly a message that I needed to do that now - to help improve my intuition and get me out of my head. Also, thanks for bringing up the color of sage leaves. I hadn't thought about what the color might mean. Green also ties in with the soybeans my parents were talking about wanting to plant. I just did a quick search for the meaning of green: http://www.whats-your-sign.com/color-meanings-in-dreams.html "Color meanings of green in dreams often point us in the direction of growth, healing, love, giving, and inspiration. Green corresponds with the heart chakra, which governs passion, love and healing. The Anahata is associated with the element of air, and so we see a different kind of love than what we experience in the primal red hues. Green is symbolic of communicating care on a subtle, energetic level. When we dream of green, we are imbued with a magical ability to transfer knowledge by unorthodox means. Green facilitates growth, love and healing by mental stimulation. Greeks believed intelligence came from the heart. This combined with the green of the heart chakra talks to us about emotional intelligence and communicating with an open heart. I realize I'm being vague here, this kind of ethereal communication isn't easily identified. However, we can look to mother nature for help in explanation. She speaks in viridian tongue - communicating a sea of burgeoning growth - all expressed by the color green. When we dream of green we're experiencing levels of healing and growth that are subtle. It's time to concentrate on the areas of our lives that need to flourish. Once we hone in, and begin to express our identification on an emotional (heart) level, our growth will be exponential and immense." That's really meaningful to me! Thanks so much for your help. I can't believe how much I end up learning about my dreams when I post them on here! IP: Logged |

Glad i might have helped. I love the idea of people posting their dreams. It would be great if more people would post their dreams, it would be interesting to see if a bunch of people around the world have similar dreams at the same time. I find a lot of people where i'm from have been having dreams of some kind of revolution. This site has helped me get some insight on my odd dreams too. <3 it. IP: Logged |
