Hi everyone

I am not really sure what this about.I do have some ideas but I am still not sure if they are correct.Whatever it was about I don't think it was a positive dream.

From what I remember the dream started in a house I used to live in.My mother who looked incredibly unkempt like she had been living like a wild women living alone in the woods away from civilisation said that two men said that she smelled bad.She didn't seem like she was in a very good mental state.

The next part I remember is watching a full church and a bride and a man walking down the isle. All of them had their backs turned and I couldn't see their faces.I can't remember if all the whole congregation were dressed in green and had green bowler hats and green baseball bats but I know I saw at least one man who did.The way he was dressed it reminded me Alex DeLarge and his Gang from the the film a Clockwork Orange. They didn't wear green in the film but when I saw the man it's the first thing that came to mind.I probably couldn't remember much else because the man seemed to draw my attention the most that I couldn't remember much else.I know the bride was in a white dress and had a veil. There is a wedding coming up in my family soon I wonder if this has something to do with my dream.I'll be honest I don't really care if there is a bust up at the wedding as long as me and my mother don't get caught up in it.We should be safe enough since we won't be attending.I don't really see the point of the dream but I wonder why I had it as the wedding doesn't concern me.If it has nothing to do with the wedding then what was it about ?

Please read it as an opinion:
Green can associated with growth and a wedding is associated with union. I did not see any other connection to St. Patrick(´s day) than the green hat. In my personal opinion the dream can be associated with the wedding that you do not join. E.g. Everybody showed the back(=not included).

Hello Panthera Leo

How would you describe Alex DeLarge and his Gang from the film a Clockwork Orange? With what characteristics?

The wedding either suggests that something about the upcoming wedding has your attention, at least subconsciously, more than you realize, or it reflects something about your balance between feminine and masculine aspects of self. Maybe both.

Do you feel this is about the wedding and perhaps hidden feelings about it, or is it about something more internal, about self?

Thank you GeminiKarat and Ra

I might edit this later so please do not quote

Ra Alex de Large and his gang were a bunch of sick delinquents and were not very nice people.

I know that I said I was going to turn over a new leaf but I just can't seem to do it no matter how hard I try.

In this case I see the colour green with your personal connection. You will not attend the wedding(=turned back). A wedding is a union of two people AND their family lines. That is not easy in every case. As your mother and you will not attend this event you can watch the pummel(--- > I like this word ) from a distance – like a bird. Sometimes it is better to step back and watch as it is healthier for your own good. This is another step into the right direction.

I wish you a happy day !

The unkempt made me think of grooming/groom word similarities.

Very weirdly I attended the wedding of my cousin recently (4th July) and a lot of your dream resonates with my exp especially some curious details. I'd rather not go into it but it was a very good wedding (despite anticipated tensions) in case there's some overlap with your future wedding somehow.

Are you in the uk? And is the football team Celtic?

I agree with you GeminiKarat that it is better to observe from a distance.
I wish you all the best GeminiKarat

Hi Florence

Thank you for your input

We don't really know much about the groom or his side of the family.I wonder if the grooms side of the family will find faults with the wedding.

I'm in Northern Ireland
The Team was Celtic

My cousins wedding had a strong Irish contingent & relatives from Glasgow who are very passionate supporters (one manages Celtic park shop). It might not strike you as unusual but since the wedding was in England ... Similarity to your dream stands out to me.

Another one, just to illustrate curious details was I was particularly struck by how no one turned around to look back before the bride came down the aisle at all. It was eerie to me - this as am sure normally people would be looking back occasionally. Regardless of whether it was usual that image stayed with me after. There's lots more too but anyway ..

Protestant / Catholic thing sounds like it explains clockwork orange images just simply because of colour reference but also too your worries.

Although I can't remember much of the dream I would agree the dream seemed to be quite eerie.I must say some of the dreams I have been having lately seem to be a little creepy even if they are very subtle.

You would probably be right about the clockwork orange imagery since I do anticipate something bad might happen.

My grandad went to Glasgow from omagh and married grandma (with an Irish mother) But, my cousins maternal family are more Irish. It was a true mix - a Scottish relative wore a kilt but it was an Irish tartan which I've never heard of before.

I was thinking with the film it might be:

(Clockwork) orange / Protestant & green / Celtic / Catholic but dream imagery seems so neat I'd think the word 'clockwork' would be significant too and the film itself. You mentioned your uncle & wonder whether Alex reps him & the wish for him to be aware of what he has done/does
