I dreamt a fragmented dream last night. I was in a building where students were staying and they were all studying art and had art portfolio books that they were working on (this links to my job as this is what I do IRL). But the strange thing was, I was almost naked except for a towel which I had wrapped around me. I was watching my boyfriend - he was 'around' but busy. I went to speak to him but he was praying with a group of men and women.

I think think this is an anxiety dream, about both work and my in-security regarding my bf. I am almost naked, so not quite.

Perhaps also vulnerability? I was somehow accepting my bf praying and chose not to disturb him. I was analyzing art works of the students - sort of creative?

Oops, I almost let this dream slip by. I found some notes I made on it, so I hope it is not too late to throw them out there.

I agree that this dream is about anxiety/insecurity or feeling vulnerable/exposed or "un-suited" concerning both your work and your boyfriend. I am not sure that the dream is necessarily positive or negative, as it seems to be simply reflective of what is.

There may be something more than general anxiety in common with the work situation and the boyfriend situation. The dream may be indicating that there is something particular in common.

How did you feel about being in just a towel?

What do you think your boyfriend was praying about?

Could the dream be suggesting that you should analyze your relationship in the same "naked truth" way that you do with your work?

It is interesting because I told my boyfriend about this dream and his reaction was quite revealing! He basically was thinking it was a sexy type dream because I was in a towel but when I said he was praying in a room - he took the dream very seriously and apologized to me for assuming it was a fun dream. I explained to him that I felt vulnerable in being only in a towel and that I hadn't wanted to disturb him while he was praying.

By talking about this dream led onto him and I discussing our dreams for the future and us together so in some ways it was a catalyst in real life for some honesty.

Quite powerful really.
