I just had a dream during my quick nap and I was really scared. I was in a stadium and this bear was performing with his master who wore a plain white sailor suit and hat. The stadium itself was white. After performing, the guy (who seemed to be around his 20's) took the stairs to get up to my floor and then took an elevator. I was gonna take the same elevator but I was scared of the bear. So I stepped back and as soon as the elevator closed, I ran to the next elevator and then pressed the button shut as fast as possible. The elevator was dark, with only purple neon lights lighting it. I'd say it was pretty funky with all its posters and decorations hanging on the wall. I pressed one of the buttons, but then I was in the wrong spot, so I had to stay inside and pressed the right button this time. On the way to my floor, the elevator stopped to pick up some more people, but I was terrified when I saw it was the bear and the sailor guy. He had some sort of rope tied to the bear. When they got in, I immediately shrank and sat on the ground and closed my eyes, hoping they would go away. The bear sat next to me, really close to me, that I could feel its skin against my thigh. I kept my eyes closed the whole time. Frankly, the bear was harmless, but I just felt really scared of it for no reason. They got to their stop before I did to mine and they peacefully got off. Then I woke up.

I'm not really sure what bears represent in dreams. The most striking part of it to me was how I felt so scared of a harmless creature. Would this indicate some sort of fear in real life, too?

My attention was somewhere else today in the morning. I will post my opinion tomorrow.

Please read it as an opinion:
The color white can be seen as a symbol of innocence. A white bear can be a symbol of insecurity in
interpersonal relationships.
This dream indicates a reflection(=up and down) in dealing with relationships(=bear, elevators).

@GeminiKarat

Thank you for your insight. Although the bear in my dream wasn't white (regular grizzly bear), it does resonate with me since I just set some boundaries with someone I care about but can't have. It happened that same day I had the dream. I got the same feeling of being scared, but I feel everything is just gonna be fine as it was in the dream.

Thanks again!

Hello Solar_Leo_Queen

How about this ...

This dream suggests the rising awareness of (up stairs/elevator) an overwhelming/overpowering/overbearing or otherwise "big and hairy" issue/situation (bear) that you would like to avoid but draws ever closer regardless of your actions.

The master of the bear is also a master of the waters (sailor), perhaps suggesting control of the emotions (sailor/water) is to control (rope) the "scary" issue/situation (bear), thus rendering it harmless and "bearable".

The white stadium and sailor could suggest that this "bear" of an issue/situation has something to do with a new (white) change or transition (elevator). Perhaps there is even some spiritual lesson or influence in this (purple).

I like the way GeminiKarat uses the word "connections" ... can you make any connections?

@Ra

An overbearing situation... hmm I'm not sure I have any of that at this time, except maybe exams, but I can't really avoid that lol

That bear didn't seem harmless at all even if it were untied. It seemed like it even wanted me to pet it because before they left the elevator, it gave me a sad look. Also, I think I forgot to mention the purple lights turned into normal white elevator lights when I got to the floor where the bear was.

But here's a connection I found..

I think that the overbearing situation you were talking about might symbolize the situation I'd be stuck in if I let my emotions dictate my actions.

Me and the guy I was talking about in my reply to GeminiKarat, had an awful past. I think the bear being tied to the sailor is me trying to control my emotions because I don't want to get "hurt" again, hence, the feeling of being scared that I got in the dream.

Spiritually, I think it is telling me to acknowledge my fear and the feelings I have for the guy and take the right action this time. I almost made the same mistake I did with him before, btw. So this would be symbolized by me pressing the wrong button on the elevator and then pressing the right one the next.

The bear giving me a look before it left and the fact that it seemed friendly... well, I'm not sure what it means honestly.

Thank you for your input, Ra. It makes a little more sense to me now.
