I dreamt that was in a place I didn't waiting recognise with a bunch of random people.I think we expected something bad to happen.
As usual in my dreams something bad did happen.
Lava started to burst up through the ground from beneath us.There was a lot of panic as we tried to get out of its path.It was moving so quickly that alot of the floor around us was being covered and it was moving towards us.We were trying to get off the floor climbing up on tables and other things trying to put distance between uss and the floor which was futile because the lava moved so fast and anything we climbed upon sank into it.We had to move quickly as we really only had seconds to get out of the way.Before the dream ended I felt like there was nowhere to run.

I think what you said malkes sense.I do to feel like there is a lot of energy,feelings and parts of myself under the surface that just want to burst out.

This dream suggests there are very strong emotions lying just beneath the surface, possibly related to some "bad" experience, which threaten to consume you, trapping you emotionally and/or psychologically. It seems you are trying to cope or escape from this energy, but have not yet successfully done so.
