I'm not really looking for an interpretation on this dream, although they are welcome if you feel inclined. I just wanted to put this dream out there into the world because it hit a deep spot in me and it felt kind of happy.

I'll tell the dream as if I were telling it to the person involved in it.

The setting was the high school cafeteria, where we met many years ago. We were not teenagers like we were then when we met, we were adults as we are now. It must have been a high school reunion or something, as there were many people there including some people I recognized.

You took a seat next to me at the cafeteria table. We looked at one another, exchanging hellos and how have you beens. The conversations that took place between us, causing us once again to feel comfortable and close with one another, have been lost among the dream.

I remember telling you that the shirt you were wearing, a red collared shirt, happened to be the same shirt you wore the day we met so many years ago. I remember the smiles playing upon our faces, exchanging blushing and smiling moments of happiness, beaming through our eyes as if secretly allowing one another to bask in each others happiness of being close once more. An unspoken knowing of a return to home. We exchanged I've missed yous.

The way in which we spoke and interacted with one another made it seem like all of the damage between us was just water under the bridge. It wasn't spoken about, although it was silently memorably there. Neither of us cared about it. We focused on recounting the good times.

What I remember in that dream most vividly was your smile. It was the same giant **** eating grin you gave for years, from when we met in high school and even for years afterward. What seemed a vague and fuzzy memory in my waking life, was accurate and perfected in my dream. I remembered your teeth, how they were shaped, how your lips curved upwards when smiling, how your canines always seemed eerily pointed. Your smile, it was one of my favorite little things about you. To see it so clearly, accurately and vividly in my dream was slightly startling.

The dream shifted to us being in a store. We were standing in line. There was a sense of adventurous happiness between us. There was a wall full of cosmetic odds and ends. Lotions, perfumes, sprays, etc. I walked a few feet over to the wall and sprayed myself with a perfume. The box I took the bottle out from said Elite by Dior. In reality, that perfume probably doesn't exist. Nor is it a perfume I think I'd ever consider wearing. I typically disregard expensive name brands and have quite picky tastes with scents I wear. I walked up to you, smiling and asked you what you thought of the smell. Your smiled, eyes connecting with mine, and told me you liked it and that it was quite fitting for me. We stood there in line, eyes beaming with joy and smiles stretched across our faces.

I know our lives are no longer intertwined, we've gone our separate ways, and there has been too much damage done to salvage even just a friendship. I must admit though, that it was nice to dream of you, to dream of us being happy once more. That adventurous spirit we had, playing out in my dreams, was refreshing. It was good to see you again and share those happy moments with you once more my old love and dear friend. I wish you well and hope you are in good health and happy.

With eternal love and all the best,
...

Hello Abc333

That is such a beautiful dream, and such a beautiful expression of it.

This is about maturity, forgiveness, and healing.

Thank you for sharing your dream.

This is beautiful. I hope you feel the same peace in waking life as you did briefly in that dream.
