I had a dream last night I got engaged. It was quite odd. The guy who asked me to marry him was a guy I dated off and on in 2013, we tried to rekindle the relationship the spring of last year, but he ended up getting cold feet. The ring in the dream was large and it looked like it showed different photos...kind of like a TV screen, I didn't like the ring, but I was happy to be engaged. I'm not sure what this means...Can someone decipher this please?

Well... I have a rather wild possible explanation, that you were married in another lifetime, and perhaps the relationship suffered a bit, which is why you didn't like the ring, because you may have not liked the photos it showed.

On a more "regular" interpratation, it may be your wish to be in a commited relationship. Perhaps this was your recent serious relationship, which is why this guy showed up as your fiance. You didn't like the ring because he is not the one you wish to marry, and again I wonder what kind of photos the ring showed. On the whole, you wish to be engaged, but not to him.

Engagement in a dream can mean on a general base the desire for close interpersonal relationships. Different photos in a dream can be associated with the image or story of the reality. It is a remedy to track events. A ring can lead to the question: What do I want to unite within me?
This dream indicates to unite(=ring) a close relationship(=engagement) in reality(=photos).
