Has anyone experienced this before? I've just had a certain dream, and then, I woke up crying and since then I can't stop. It's just really weird as it is completely a 'first' for me. o.o I don't know if I'm actually right, but somehow I can't stop sensing and thinking about some kind of cleansing going on.

At the beginning of my dream I was with my mom, and there were some 20's style gangsters on the street. I went too close to the window, so the leader noticed me, then started to chase me to hunt me down. I was walking on huge piles of snow which covered a lake. I found myself at a busy road, so I started hitchhiking to escape. I saw a friend of mine driving a car (this girl was the one who in real life "brought me" to the place where my whole life crumbled down 3 years ago.) She picked me up and drove for a while. I saw tornadoes a bit further away. Then, I was in a mall with people and a cat. And a tornado hit, but the mall remained in one piece.
After that, I was walking on the snow piles again, but at least halfway I realized that it wasn't safe anymore. It was night and foggy, I couldn't see the bridge afar. It was daytime again, and I noticed the gangsters, so I decided to climb and jump from a higher place. I saw a man down there who drove me for a while, the gangsters were following us, but later lost trace of us. He drove me to a policeman who said that he can't really do anything except the usual official basic things they do at the beginning. I felt pretty vulnerable that I couldn't trust him. Then, two male figures appeared on the scene. The next thing I remember that I was in a room with them and my mom. She said she was ill, she had cancer and was going to die. I became ill as well. One out of the two men held me in his arms. I was very weak and I remember I asked a certain question - "Will you take good care of me after mom dies?" And suddenly the gangsters appeared again as well at the end.

Hello Emsie

I totally agree. There is some kind of cleansing going on.

This dream contains within it many symbols related to anxieties, stress, and tension concerning your place in life, insecurities, and suppressed emotional energies.

So the crying is a physical release of emotional energy that you have been bottling up. Evidently you really needed to let it out.

Jól vagy?

In my personal life tears are the final closure of a topic. I feel empty and revealed at the same time. The answer to your question is yes.

Please read it as an opinion:
A gangster in a dream can be seen as a work on the helplessness and is sometimes related to the question: Where in my life am I preparing to show my power?
This dream indicates that a release of emotions(=lake, tornado, cancer, etc) could be seen as preparation to power(=gangster).

These days somehow I think about the things that used to happen to me before. And some old secret stuff turned out in my family a few weeks ago that made me really angry and sad. It was definitely about power.

I have a very deep connection to water. When I feel sad and/or tense I always try to find a river or a lake and just sit there listening to the sound of waves. It's not surprising that even bathroom is my favorite room within a house and I spend a lot of time having bath.
