I had a dream about a guy that I've had a crush on for a while, but I haven't seen or spoken to him in months. In my dream I was being very playful and affectionate with him. I was standing behind him with my arms around his torso, and I had my hands up his shirt tickling him. An old friend of mine was there too. In real life she was the only friend that ever made me feel completely invisible to guys when she was around. It was bizarre because I am used to getting male attention, but would feel totally ignored in her presence. At one point he went over to her house. I was supposed to go too, but I was putting on makeup. I was somewhat jealous that he went to her house, but not really upset. He came back with my mom and he was wearing roller skates. They looked exactly like my Rainbow Brite skates I had when I was a kid, but he insisted they were "man skates". He was skating around with his shirt off wearing short shorts. He was being goofy making me laugh and he told me I looked "foxy".

At one point while he was gone I was moving furniture around in my bedroom. At first I thought it was my current apartment, but I realized that I had just moved. I was worried about the movers stealing my jewelry, specifically my old wedding band.

Any thoughts? I feel like it has to do with insecurities and fears, but the feeling of the dream was very positive. I felt very infatuated and happy with him. I have no clue about the roller skates though. I think the ring symbolizes me still being hung up on my ex, not willing to let go.

As I said it was a positive dream, but I had this dream yesterday and it was the worst day I've had in a long time. I spent half the day crying and feeling really stressed out.

Hi Ra. I had the dream before having a really bad day. I woke up feeling happy that I had a pleasant dream about him, wishing it wasn't just a dream. Then I was so distraught and stressed I was on the verge of tears all day and broke down crying repeatedly. It's very unlike me.

Please read it as an opinion:
Roller skates in a dream can lead to the question: Where in my life am I looking for more youthfulness?
Can it be that you miss this part of your dream in real life?

The dream begins as a wish-fulfillment (playful/affectionate with guy) which quickly hooks into insecurities (old friend) concerning men/relationships. The fact that you haven’t communicated with this guy in so long brings up old feelings of being “invisible”. Emotionally, this guy has you going around in circles (roller skates). The dream could suggest that these emotions, insecurities, and fears are connected with your past (mom/Rainbow Brite skates), or just that they make you feel like a “little girl”, or perhaps this is an area where growth/maturing is needed or there is an opportunity for it.

It is suggested that as your life has transitioned (moved), the reconfiguration (move furniture) of subconscious energies (bedroom) is stirring up old fears/anxieties/insecurities (worried about old wedding band), likely concerning relationships.

I definitely feel like I've been lacking fun and playfulness in my life lately and I think the dream reflected this. Life has felt rather heavy for the last few years, and I am ready for that to change.

I can relate to a lot of your interpretation of my dream. I think the main theme of the dream centered around my desire for a new relationship and trying to move on from my ex, and the insecurities from that situation. Also the part about feeling invisible. I know that this guy liked me, but I would have to be the one pursuing him, and I wanted him to show more interest. It didn't help that it's pretty obvious that I'm not over my ex, so I was feeling very torn between them even though I know I need to move forward.

This is sooo weird! The very morning that I had this dream there was a clip on a morning show of Jimmy Fallon singing this song in a lip sync battle. I thought that was a weird coincidence, since I thought of this very song as soon as I woke up. I love this song...I have the Boogie Nights soundtrack and this is one of my favorite songs on it. I even played the song that day!
