I don't want to be boring with too many questions, but must ask again, have pretty interesting dreams these days.

I was dreaming that my mom hug me tight and I tried to imagine that it's some other person I respect and like a lot, like it's actually him, even if I was aware it 's my mother.

I usually have long, and in one night can change three totally different dreams with different stories. From time to time I have lucid dreams, can be fascinating but also scary.

When I was younger, I was very close with her, but as I am older, it started to change.

There is nothing like a good hug from your mother. The dream could simply reflect your desire to have these feelings of warmth, love, security, and closeness with the guy you like.

Could it be this simple, or do you think there is more to the dream?

I have more time now to read dreams.

I do agree with Ra. A mother in a dream can represent the nurturing part that can be found in a relationship as well.
