I dug up something from my dream diary from many years ago, a strange but very interesting dream. Till this day I'm wondering about the meaning. I sort of arrived at some conclusions but I'm not sure therefore perhaps someone here would like to try for a meaning...:-)
In the dream I woke into a cavernous hangar , not unlike those huge airplane hangars, but more scruffy, oldish, dirty - the feeling was: weathered by use.
I'm walking through this hangar, and everywhere I can see are small square tables, arranged like in examination halls. At each table there are two people sitting in chairs, opposite each other. As I pass, I see strawberries on these tables, just two to five pieces, they're big like tomatoes but ugly and disformed. I wasn't revolted at the sight of the ugly strawberries, it was more surprise and disbelief at what I'm seeing. Sinister feeling. At each of these tables, one person was passing the strawberry and the other was receiving. I felt this is some kind of a trade situation. At some tables there was only one person present, waiting in stillness for someone to take the spot in the empty chair. They didn't seem to notice me, I was like a invisible person moving through this scene.
I moved through the space quickly, I felt an urgency to reach the end of the hangar.
At the end there was a clearance area, no more tables, and in the middle there was a large square opening in the floor resembling a very large lift shaft.
There were 15-20 people standing around this dark hole. They were just staring at someone. As I fixed my eyes on this someone they were looking at, I noticed a woman balancing on the very edge of the opening, walking slowly on the rim of it putting one foot after the other with arms stretched out for balance.
This woman was my mother.
No one seemed to be concerned, they were waiting, observing, they there to witness.
I felt shock, fear, danger, I was afraid for her..I couldn't understand why she is walking like this. I wanted to scream but I was afraid she'll fall.
And I woke up.
Thank you
