Transition, with a past/present/future vibe is precisely what I see.The road symbolizes either your life path in general, or some specific course in your life. Traveling in a car with a small group, "in complete awe because it looked never-ending", sounds representative of youth, or the past.
You and the group are then suddenly walking down a natural road, representing the transition from youth to adulthood, from a past phase to the present, where you begin to walk under your own power, and eventually to dance to your own music.
Rather than the "end of the road", the "idyllic place" with waterfall and people could represent the transition point between present and future, where a new phase begins on your life path. Looks like a nice place to start.
Besides the direction of the path/road, there is also it's position, just between "autumn" and "summer". What does this say about your life position? Are you straddling two phases or "seasons" of your life?
What does the Vermont-esque/autumn side of the road represent to you? Joy, comfort, maturity?
What does the "summer" side represent to you? The person in white running with joy could represent a different kind of joy than the "Vermont" side, a joy that is new (white), more free or expressive (running in field) and perhaps even more youthful in some way.
This "summer-side" energy seems connected with the energy of the "idyllic place" at the "end" of the road. But this end is just a new beginning.
So what is going on in your life, or in your mind, that can be described by this symbology?
