What could it mean to be a fairy, fly high above a dark turquoise sea and happily sprinkle golden dust? What about turning into a human later (or a human-sized fairy at least) and joining a sailor (who seemed to be surprised by my transformation and find me pretty) on a ship?------------------

Yes... fairy was an eerie fit.
