Topic: Reoccurring dream of airports/planes/flying

I Dream often of being in airport terminals, flying on planes, private planes, plane crashes, going on vacation somewhere but not making it to the vacation etc. What could this mean and why dream it so often? IP: Logged |

There are months or even consecutive years I have the same themed dreams. I went through a phase of zombie dreams -running away from zombie attacks. Another phase was tidal wave dreams. Right now it is airports/planes. IP: Logged |

Are you considering new prospects to your life? Feeling ready to soar to a new adventure? Or maybe excited about some kind of journey, even if not a physical one? A plane crush may suggest you are not sure about your foundations or the stability of your plans. Not arriving to the vacation may mean failing to realize your destination, or else the fear of such an outcome. Perhaps these dreams warn you to double check your plans for the future. For precision, you may examine your feelings during the dream. Were you peaceful? Nervous? Excited? Disappointed?

Thank you Ayelet! You are right I have been thinking about future plans specifically with changing career paths. Have a couple ideas in mind but it’s not certain at this point. I guess my feelings would be scared in the dreams but also calm or peaceful? Like not as scared as I should be with a plane crash haha...

It is interesting you felt both scared and calm... it could demonstrate the complexity you feel toward the known and unknown.. making plans is the intention of controling the future, while there is the element of the unknown, the future being mysterious and not fully revealed. So maybe you feel fear toward that which cannot be predicted, while you also have the peace of mind to deal with it. You may understand, on a deeper level, there is a multitude of scenarios which may take place in your life to come, but all in all you trust yourself to be competent or serene enough to deal with whatever path of life you'll be taking. You may try considering a specific path you think about just before bedtime, even write about it to yourself maybe, and invite a dream that may help you make a choice. Saying that, I do believe you'll eventually find yourself where you belong.IP: Logged |

Thank you Ayelet! I will do that - think or ask myself before I go to bed what is the right path for me and hope a dream can help bring something to the surface. I definitely have mixed emotions but feel ready to make a move soon. IP: Logged |

Haven’t had one in a very long time but definitely went through a phase of zombie dreams. Still having airport dreams though. Had one the other night. Whenever I have those can’t seem to ever get on the plane or to where I’m going. Typing it out it probably means I feel I am not getting to where I want to be in life. IP: Logged |
