You obtained your Law degree through attending an "internet-school"?Then, are these Bar Exam instructions and lectures 'internet'-based also? IF so?? Suggestion-- Maybe you can open a separate tab and play the kind of music you like, while you listen to 'boring' lectures? Could hold your interest better. Allows another part of your conscious mind to take-in some learning? When I had been in college, there was no internet in those days. I signed up for a course on the History and System of Psychology. The text was thick, and authored by a man named Edwin G. Boring!!!! The professor had a kind of bland voice, but he also had a dry sense of humor, if you were keen to it. He opened the class saying how 'boring' Boring would be?? It was a straight 3-hour lecture-class on a Tuesday evening/night. (Decided I would NEVER do that again!! LOL) HOW did I stay awake and alert, to his very low bland voice, for hours in the evening? When I needed-to, I'd fold my arms across my chest, and with hand hidden underneath my arm, I would sign-spell the 'last word' of sentences he would speak. {Aside-- I had taken up a sign-language class at a local deaf school. Worked in a shopping mall and those kids were getting in trouble with the security-guards there. .. I 'seemed' to be able to connect with these children personally, they tended to ?listen? to me and come behaviorally into-order? So, I took-up very-beginner sign-language to make communications more successful between them and the security-guard!} So Randall-- What I'm trying to say is that there might be a Creative way for you to re-frame the torture of boring lectures?? Another thing for me once was that I worked for a business where it was part of my job to be IN lectures all day long. Since I heard the 'same thing' all the time, what I did was to imagine that *I* would be giving same lecture, and I would study the person from the standpoint of 'how-to' do what they are doing. Maybe some day, instead of being the learner, you could be the one 'teaching it'? .. Thinking of needing to "teach" the information you are learning, could make it more appetizing for you to sit in these boring lectures? As always, Wishing you The Best! Good Luck on your Bar Exam (in August?) IP: Logged |

No, I went to an actual law school and commuted 100 miles each way. Bar prep is live at a different school, streamed live to my school, or I can watch pre-recorded videos from the past on my own schedule. The Bar exam is the end of July.IP: Logged |

Wow!!! Randall. omg. You sacrificed 200 miles a DAY (for classes). I didn't know that. From other things you had written, I thought you had taken online courses. EXTRA Congratulations for that. That's a LOT!!!! Wishing you the BEST on preps for the Georgia Bar! Must have used your travel time to review any audio-notes you recorded from your classes? Wouldn't it have been cool for your texts to be audio-files.. *smile* Looking Forward to see you Pass your Bar IP: Logged |

I did take five of my law classes on-line. I actually scored highest in those. In one of them, I received the Cali Award, which is the highest score in the class. IP: Logged |

Oh! Thanks for clearing the confusion! And I did see that post about your Award! woot woot! *feather for your graduation cap* You know, on those LONG rides, sometimes it's good to just 'think your own thoughts' and allow whatever information you learned to 'percolate' inside your brain creatively. Brain cells need that chance to breathe, and to process what it learned?! IP: Logged |
