First, let me begin by saying I love owls and crows. These two have always made a presence in my life in one way or another and I'm very drawn to both. If I had to chose a spirit animal, these two would be mine.

This dream was pretty short compared to most dreams I have. I'm sitting on my balcony like I always do in my black robe alone. I'm looking at something on my phone and when I look up I see a huge white owl flying towards me. He flies right up to my balcony door and hovers there trying to get through the glass, never acknowledging that I'm sitting there. I can literally feel the wind from his wings but they aren't beating erratically, just strong slow movements to keep him floating there looking through my door. I can feel what the owl feels and I know how bad he wants to be inside. I don't understand why he want to be inside and I don't open the door for him thinking he'll make a huge mess and he's too big to be in my living room. He finally gets frustrated and perches on the railing. As he's sitting there, I try to sneak a picture on my phone and I do this quietly so I don't spook him and he flies away before I get the picture because I'm thinking, no one is going to believe me. Right before I snap it, he turns into a parrot and flies beside me and hovers for a minute. I distinctly remember knowing that if I ever tried to get proof he was real, he would turn into this small parrot instead of the beautiful owl I saw. I put my phone down and he turned back into the owl and flew away.

Thank you for any insights on this ❤️ I don't know much about dreams and their meanings.

Hi Dons2angelss, wow, a white owl. Was it a vivid dream, strong colours, etc.? You actually felt the wind from the movements of the owl's wings. That does sound quite vivid.
Owls represent, among other things, inner wisdom and divine messages. Besides being your totem animal as well. White could relate to pure, angelic quality. Maybe there is something good that wishes to enter your life, something new (white), and you don't trust it would be good to make it happen. How did you feel when you saw the owl fly away at the end?

A parrot repeats what it hears. In other words, imitation. Not the real thing. Maybe you don't need to be concerned with what others think (will they believe me?), Or try to impress them (although it could be not about impressing anyone in particular, but rather being connected to the media and others through technology, artificial mean which is so basic these days, the shared by the many surface level of communication). Because when you do that, you disconnect from your inner wisdom and power, your authenticity, and become a duplication of other people's norms and expectations. Also, instead of welcoming this beautiful bird inside, you'd be satisfied with a picture, which is an imitation of reality, just like the sounds a parrot makes. Perhaps, in a way, the bird is you. The white owl is your higher self, wishing to contact with you, to enter your home. But you don't trust this higher, divine part. You have your house in a certain order, and don't want the owl to make a mess. Maybe you don't feel like giving nature to interfere with your set of convictions and beliefs. Do you view nature as chaotic rather than orderly? It could also suggest you don't trust your own nature. You yourself are out, maybe out of yourself? Engaged in external activities, trying to show others the best in you, yet fail, maybe because the real best in you is something very personal, internal and sacred, which is meant only for you and cannot be demonstrated to the rest of the world through such a device as your phone.
It could be a wake up call to get in touch with yourself, to delve deeper (and higher), to put aside your phone and the ceaseless rattle and "enter the house", an inner you you may left unaware.

Does my interpretation resonate with you? I'd love to hear whatever thoughts you care to share.

Wow, this resonated deep with me. I 100% believe my "true self" to be sacred and not to be shown to the outside world. If I do, they would tear it apart and destroy what I treasure most deeply. Your interpretation hit very hard and is surprisingly accurate. I do feel like I have to blend in with the outside world yet, inside I feel my spirit is precious and delicate. Outside, I'm a completely different presence. I have a strong barrier I've built to protect my inner core and no one crosses the lines I've drawn. I am two people, my private inner self who can only be "out" when I'm alone or in nature (I can feel the Earth and it's own heartbeat) and the person I've built as my shell (my ego).

My dreams are often very vivid. Always in colors and I can feel physically what's happening. I'm also a lucid dreamer. I'm aware, most of the time, that I'm dreaming and can control them. If I'm not sure I'm actually dreaming, as a test I'll pull out a book and if there are no new words (not a book I've read before) then I know I'm dreaming. In this particular dream, it's spring and the trees are blooming with pink flowers, the sun is bright high in the sky and its a beautiful day. The parrot was very vivid, all of the colors of a macaw but it was much smaller. Like the size of a sparrow. When the owl flew away I felt like I had lost him forever and was very sad about that. I felt like I blew my chance because I didn't let him in and he gave up so your interpretation fits exactly with how the dream played out and how I felt. Thank you so much ♡

Thank you, Dons2angelss, for your feedback and sharing more of the dream and your thoughts. It must be wonderful to have all these vivid dreams! It can show a rich inner life and an open channel to the spirit realm.

Your method to see if it's a dream or not sounds awesome; how did this idea with the book come up to you?
Namaste.

Issues surrounding current reality, of death of what used to be normal, and of human and financial loss in current world, can be hard to titrate and take in under your roof (mindset).

In the World right now, we are dealing with Pandemic Virus COVID-19. Many have been requested to be quarantined inside their homes, to help against the spread of this germ. People are suffering hits to their income, their employment, their savings and cash flows.

In the United States, this is being predicted to be one of the deadliest weeks for loss of life from the pandemic.

This week also coincides with religious Holy Week for Jews {Passover} and Christians (Easter) around the World. To be followed with Ramadan.

I had started 'noticing' death-related asteroids in doing astrology charts months ago. I wasn't sure "why", until the Pandemic got rooted. All of us still alive right now, were born with a Purpose for being here.

Dons2angelss!
I know that you're a 'sensitive' person, and perhaps your own Gifts are operating that way right now. Some of us are the 'sensory receptors' in the Collective.

Simply 'pay attention'.

Part of the message that Owl brings you is that you're entering A New Reality!

Death, transformations.
The need to encounter the inner-darkness of our souls.
Some folks go through dark-night experiences-- don't know if that affects you sometimes? Those times can be Growth-enhancing for your spiritual life, and soul.

I had seen the post you did at the start of this year-- about your brother attempting suicide.
Have you done any of your own 'deep inner work' dealing with a death that had almost occurred that was very close to you?
.. Are you subtly still dealing with remnants of feelings and shock that he attempted and was unsuccessful (thank God)?
Is there a part of you still dealing with that?
.. (Has his behaviors and state of mind improved? Have you been in communication with him lately? .. )

You are dressed in a 'black' robe.
Searching/ clothed with a need for going deep spiritually?
Need to feel more privacy and having just-me time? {I know you have younger children!! -- I smiled thinking that you are OUTSIDE the house, instead of inside where all the cooped-up family activity is!! *smile*}

Color black can feel 'protective' of your own energies. Wrapped with even a sense of needed-security.
Sorry I haven't been paying enough attention-- but I thought I saw that you have a romantic interest right now? ..Black ..wrapped with romantic sexual energy.

The owl is an animal active in the occult also...
Hidden knowledge, delving into the mystery of the unknown.

The Owl .. is a harbinger of death, and loss.

Remember (movie character) Harry Potter's owl?..
in one scene the Owl was flying towards the house with a letter/message for him, and it misses the 'open' side of the window, crashing into the Window Glass instead-- delaying~postponing the delivery of its message.

The owl is a nightbird.
Bird of darkness, death, sunset.
.. is opposite meaning of an Eagle.

Represents the Moon, and Mother.
Elements of water and earth.
He flies "silently"-- unheard.
Represented death, night, cold, and passivity; the realms of the dead.
Crossing.. a sea of darkness.

The owl was the bird of Athena,
and the "practical realm."

He presaged 'events'.
His hooting is ominous.
Represents the Crone--
.. sage wisdom gained from experience and earth years.

In one Dream interpretation note--
LAW & LEGAL Matters
It can be a *warning* of possible deceit in legal matters.
Also, being harmed by and with 'words' said-- whether they be false or true.

Switching to symbol of PARROT--
(after assimilating it all..)
Parrots can "talk" .. imitate humans and have understanding.

Part of the warning found with Parrot is for being mindful of your OWN talk & words.
.. The way you talk to your own self, in your mind.
.. Or!, your talking publicly about others.

Bottom line of Parrot is for you to practice Positive Thinking, Positive Words!
* Your own thinking and words about your situation is affecting your experience of reality.
Don't need to be Pollyanna--
but "practice" clearing your head with doses of Positive Thinking.

Reframe. Know what's real about your situation (yes, always, it's grounded) ;
AND Take Time to sweeten the atmosphere of your Mind with pleasantness.
Count your Blessings.

The Owl gives ability to 'discern secrets'.

Another meaning was relating that Owls are found in dark and lonely places.
Hermits are found where Owls like to dwell.
.. Message is that 'It's okay to be Alone'.

Sign of an old soul.
Sign of Clairvoyant Abilities,
Sensitive to Subtle Energies.

*~
In your dream you were aware (or fear) that others will judge you-- not believe your own words. Needing to 'prove' yourself.
Then, AT that point, the Owl (darker mindset) SWITCHED into the bright Parrot (Colorful daytime, -- smaller size, re-sized to sparrow-- simplicity!!!! drop complications -- brings you more wonderful freedom not to have the burden of proving self to others).
Let it go.

Is interesting too that transiting VENUS had changed signs to GEMINI -- Pleasant, and chatty! Lucky exchanges.

I know that sensitive people need their time-apart, their privacy. AND-- Don't forget that Talking to Others is Healing. Healing talk and presence of TWO people.
Libra Full Moon April 7th/8th.
Your 5th (creativity, your children, romance) Libra, your 11th (friends, aspirations and hope) Aries.

Take Good Care of yourself,
and All your Loved ones.
*Prayers for Protection*

I think I read somewhere that you can't read in dreams, even though I have read signs and numbers in mine. So I figured if I open a book and nothing new is there, then I must be dreaming.

Thank you both for these interpretations. They've really opened my eyes and got me thinking.

Mirage, I'll need some time to process and dissect everything you've written and then I'll have my response.

Thank you ♡

I do remember reading an unknown before text in a dream, once... I even remember creating a poem in a dream.
But I don't usually suspect I'm dreaming.
