Crazy vivid and abstract dreams my whole life but the volume has been turned up the past few months. I usually only have nightmares but my dreams have been super abstract lately.

Last night I remember in my dream watching a large black butterfly or moth i'm not sure which, flying and landing on the wall. Then it fell and when I looked down it was an injured squirrel I think. It was laying down and definitely hurt but I don't know why and can't remember much else about the dream or where I was just that I was indoors somewhere.

Any thoughts on possible symbolism or meaning?

I've read a bit about the moth and sqirrel in dreams. It says the moth, like the butterfly, is related to metamorphosis, but expresses the darker side of the dreamer, the shadow, the unseen, intuition, especially when it is black. The sqirrel can be related to different topics like hoarding - hoarding feelings, for example, or having abundance - nuts. And to your dream: the moth fell and turned into an injured sqirrel. Could it be you may have not listened to or trusted your inner knowing, and as a result hoarded hurt feelings? Or maybe you feel innerly betrayed by your own shadow, acting, as it seems, against yourself, or failing yourself? What is this injury you may feel or encounter in your life? Perhaps the dream is about someone else getting hurt?

I am definitely in a super aggressive cosmic period of transformation and change and I can honestly say all of those resonate deeply.
