I am almost 70 and have dream traveled, astral travelled, then the more advanced out of bodies. These are soul qualities and generally one's fate to do so. I have done it from 5 years old until I turned 65 when my karmic purification self healing journey was over.

We have two astral bodies: The soul astral body, animism body, and the mental astral body. Most people who has lucid dreaming and astral travel are in the mental astral body. The soul astral body is always dark, demonic, nightmares based on our own past lives (the lifetimes that have karma). For some, it can be both.

The less you invest in the waking life, its stresses, its ego, competitions, striving for success, the less you enter the dreaming planes, dreaming world if you are not fated to do so. Those who have set ups this lifetime to have OOB, Dreaming, Time Jumping, Tunnel Travel, Remote Viewing, must all deal with the chaos that somes with that life. For those who just PROJECT ASTRAL FLIGHT, they are not really doing it, because its a projection. It may feel like it, but without any risks, thats how you know they are projection flying. The mental astral body cannot fly, but since our mental astral body is linked to our soul astral body, there is a sense that we can.

For those dedicated like a monk, or shaman, or anyone who has fate to know the differencdes between the mental and soul astral bodies, they will die if they don't accept their fated lifetime. Otherwise they end up in sickness, scitsophrenia, even death if they do not stay dedicated, constantly healing, sober, and disciplined.

Those who just desire it, some may touch 10% for awhile, but those who reach 70% or more of these abilties will tell you how dangerous to the self that they really are, and follow strict spiritual disciplines, no alcohol, pot, medications and must deal with all of it in this world and the dreaming worlds.

One time I needed a warrior to help me shut down a pyramid in chichen itza, as a woman I am a warrior dreamer with apprentices and do collective work. The iriquois bear man said I would need to allow him into my astral body if he was to help. I knew that risking this would cost me. We finished the job, him in the pacific northwest, and me in central america. When we were done I cut all chords with him and he did the same.

What i didn't know, was this opened me up to 30% of the 50% of the male gender who dream and astral rape on the dream planes. Those are the decisions in soul dreaming, but mental astral dreaming is just all projection and not real, but the person would not know, until they've pass the gate into the danger zones.
