Dreaming with water? What are your experiences about dreaming with water, and symbology or knowledge on it? People having constant dreams of water surprises me!About the interpretation I recently dreamt about a flood where I almost died, but ended up saving myself and my mother. Also being attacked with water and a hose. I also had another dream, where I saw a big lot of red diamond playing cards, being told that I had to select and pick all the red diamonds and leave the rest of the cards apart. And inisght on this too? IP: Logged |

Hi Biolatte, Water are generally connected with emotions. Of course, it is different to dream about a lake, a river, a well or the sea. Did you have anything emotional engulfing you recently, something that had to do with you and your mother? Maybe you managed to control yourself and save both you and her - and maybe a third party was involved. In any case, it is, like Randall has suggested, a positive dream. You prevented a disaster from happening - perhaps in the area of your personal connection (with mom, or you and mom protected from something else). The dream about the red diamond cards - red diamonds are associated with money, or riches. Maybe you are told to be practical, save money, or concentrate on the basic ground for living. Maybe you're preoccupied with survival matters, or financial concerns. IP: Logged |

Great interpretations, as always, Ayelet. For me, danger dreams where I come out unscathed make me feel protected by a higher power. You also rescued your mother, which makes it even more so. But I take it as a temporary setback that resolves in your favor. Like I said, I'm no expert, but it's just from how I feel after similar dreams. IP: Logged |

I agree with Randall on that take on your dream as well. It can certainly pertain to a higher power protecting you and shielding you from harm in real life!IP: Logged |

Your Dream (and the symbols): Flood (over abundance of emotion) where I almost died (changed), ended up saving myself (saving yourself) and my mother (intimate self). Being attacked (change that needs to be noticed), with water and a hose (common applications for the changes needed). Symbol breakdown message I have an over abundance of emotion and I almost changed / healed it by focusing on my inner nurturing mother self. The tool for this change within - is a common applications for the changes needed. Questions to ask, what is the relationship with being supported by your mother, or the inner mother of self and how does this effect your emotional life. Dream I saw a big lot of red (action) diamond (diamonds represents money, finances, and material possessions) playing (pretending creative) cards (face value), being told that I had to select and pick all the red diamonds and leave the rest of the cards apart (choosing or making a decision in life based on actions). Analysis of symbols I take action around my own money, finances, and material possessions (saturn), but am pretending and being creative (leo / sun). I need to make choices around making adult or saturn decisions in my life. Note: if you are in your saturn return 27-33 years old, this would be appropriate message moving from youth to adulthood. If not, then its a deeper 4th house 10th house issue, and one's independence of your own learning ability for adult survival. Your inner dream wants you to know this. IP: Logged |

I have a watery consitution (neptune, jupiter, and north node all within 5 degrees in scorpio in the 12th house) and I have a pisces moon, so water is a big dream symbol for me. Water and Fire in dreaming are both symbols of Purification, water being more gentle, and fire more intense. When water enters our dreaming, it means there is something to purify. Our feelings (emotional body) and that healing, or our physical body (usually sobriety), or mental body (thoughts that need purifying) or karma (our soul body). Water has a lot to do with the purification of a specific character we portray in our life and that something needs to change. We cannot change anything that we are not "conscious of" and our dreaming helps communicate and show us what needs healing, changing or even karmic disruptions. Becoming conscious of what we need to address or change is the first step and dreaming really guides and helps our life. The issue is the symbolism. Example, many fear death in dreams, but death as a symbol just means "changes" it doesn't mean death when we are out of the physical body as its asleep because we associate death with our physical life. Bringing that dream symbol into our waking life really isn't how dream symbolism works. Water (soul body dreamer) rules the purification of both the emotional body and the soul body, the connections between these two and how they play out in our life is important. The mental body dreamer has its own set of symbolism for the waking mind. There are great therapies that help when your dreamer keeps repeating a symbol which means the change or healing is very important to start applying. Before the middle men (religion), and oracles or mediums (spirituality), our dreamer was the part of our high self system who guided us, gave us wisdom and kept our life flowing from waking to sleeping to waking. Some therapies that help us adopt these changes the inner dreamer shows us of repetative dreams, like your water dreaming, are ... Energy work (reiki), Watsu (a water therapy for those who had any trauma or hardships as children), open talk circle (women or mens circles) or individual therapy, and very important for dreamers and non dreamers alike is meditation to silence the mind to get deeper into understanding ourself. Water and Glass are both clear but water (purification) is transparent, ruled by Pisces/Neptune and glass (illusions) looking solid but not, is ruled by Uranus/Aquarius. When you have another symbol with Water, it gives you a directional key into understanding the elements of that particular dream. Shattered glass would be breaking through an illusion which is affecting you while you are awake (that you are not conscious to). Stepping through water or swimming would be purification at a deeper level. Water in bathroom is one of the main water purification symbols. There are three levels of water: 1. Lake (contained emotions) 2. River (flowing emotions) 3. Ocean (the soul) These are just examples of water. Dream symbolism in our dreams at night tell us what we should do (not what we "are doing"). The mental body when not connected to the soul body, cannot deliver the messages from the soul very clearly. Generally mastering Zen meditation will clear that up, but that takes dedication (generally 4 to 8 years of daily practice). IP: Logged |
