Greetings...It is sad that we have such a war torn planet on which to live, breathe and have our being. What is sadder is that none of it is necessary, at least not on a Spiritual Level. People have asked me my opinion on this war, and my reply is simple, it exists because we allow it to. We need something to hold up a mirror and show us to ourSelves, and this war is that mirror. Every war is. In point of fact, everything that happens is happening for the purpose of showing us to ourSelves. If we do not like what we see, it is up to us to fix it. To live in a way that does not allow these things to happen. Hitler flourished because he could. People bought into what he was saying because they were ripe for it. They allowed it. I am not wise in the way of politics or strategy nor do I understand all the causes of the wars that are going on here on this Sorrowful Star, but I do know, that they thrive because as much as we claim that we want Peace, we do not Live that way. We fight over plots of land, religious beliefs, killing in the Name of God!?! What sense does that make? Plots of land? "My God is better than your God, or my way of worshipping God is better than yours." When will people realize that your God is my God, whether I call Him Buddha or Jesus or Zoroaster, God or Allah?! Yet God allows it to continue. Why? Because our Greatest Gift is Free Will Choice. We have chosen everything that exists. Called it into creation, becaue we are divine creators with God. Now, what do we do about it? How Free would our Free Will be if God intervened and stopped the madness? That is not God's work, but it is OUR work. I say that protesting is now too late. What is is, and to protest it simply dishonors those who are risking their lives to protect us. Most of them are not there by their choice (well at some level - but that gets into pretty deep, murky esoteric waters), but they are doing the best they can given the situation at hand. I do not know what the answer is, but I do know that we are being given an opportunity to see ourSelves as we are. Now, what do we choose to do about that? Again with the more questions than answers! I bid US Peace... A ------------------ "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." - Antoine de Saint Exupery, The Little Prince IP: Logged |

That was loverly, Aselzion . I couldn't have said it better. well, except that I am out protesting not because I honestly expect it will stop those in power from their foolish path but only because to remain silent would weigh too heavily on my soul. I cannot be complacent in the face of injustice. Certainly, I have no ill will for the common soldier in the war , we chant, "Support our Troops. Bring them Home" because we know that they don't really want to be there either. I suppose I protest because I'm not really sure of an effective way to 'shake their third eyes open' so to speak- I am speaking of the people all around me that constantly reinforce the culture of warfare that we all live in, mostly unconscious of our perpetration of it. I am also guilty of perpetrating it, although I am slowing becoming conscious of it, it is extraordinarily difficult to change patterns indoctrinated almost since birth. Truly we are 'possessed' by the mindset of war, we have been for millenia. I pray that Uranus in Pisces will be the force to pry the world awake and free us from the violence that holds us hostage inside our own minds. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on the matter, Aselzion. IP: Logged |

Nice to know that you can articulate yourself, Carlo (without brash comments). I must say that I agree with you. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Bravo Aselzion I also believe that a man, as well as a country, should follow their own destiny... their own path, without the intervention of others. We can help with orientation, but never intervene with force or violence. If a people suffer, as the karmic law teachs, it's because they chose it, or he would not have been born at that country, under that regime. The human evolution depends on the own human being, as individual and as a nation and while a nation doesn't get to develop for their own merits, it is because they are not ready for this evolution... so, try to change that through the force and the violence it is as changing the course of a river... a total waste of time... Yes, sad... if we allowed this to happen, how can we contribute to "fix" it?For one, treat everyone with justice and dignity. That doesn't mean cutting off dialogue. It doesn't mean giving up on sending light and love, and does mean starting at home, on this board, with your co-workers, everywhere in your life. Be peace. Be love. Be just. Connect with love and be that, without fear and defensiveness. I can't agree that protesting injustice means condemning troops. It's not the same thing. Soldiers do the dirty work for a nation... they sacrifice themselves so we may continue to voice our ONIONS. Globally, protesters are trying to get their message to the _leaders_ who issued the orders, because only world _leaders- may halt the madness, and the sadness. It is an error to demonize either soldiers or protesters, I believe. Can we continue to allow ourselves to stagnate in an Us Vs. Them polarizing mentality? Can we not imagine a more complex, shades of grey situation, where we draw lines along principles of justice and love for all, instead of declaring those who speak their hearts to be against Us, to be enemies? Remember the little kid in the Emperor's New Clothes, who spoke up? Isn't there a better spiritual model for structuring thought and spirit? A trinity, a spiral, a helix? The opposition has helped lead us into this terrible situation... that Cartesian "either/or" analytical model. This just can't be simplified.. we will continue to hurt in these ambiguities but therein lies our ability to heal ourselves... if we avoid the so-called "simple" explanations, and solutions, and create our own. Thanks Proxie Hi Aselzion Yes...long time no see... I'm not having much time in the moment and when I enter in the site, I just find some time for political debates about the war... But, I promised to myself that I won't give no more opinion about this war... my father, that passed away when I was 17, taught me that there are three subjects that we should not discuss: politicizes, religion and soccer ( sports ), because each person has their own opinion that you won't be able to change it and vice versa... I miss your posts also...and I'm feeling that I should use my restricted time for my studies on astrology and now, to learn at your Forum... As soon as I have more time, you'll see me at Through The Looking Glass...I have a lot to learn from you... Wait for me...
