So, I just came across this passage in Gooberz where Linda mentions patriotism..I wanted to share..here's her thoughts- (as spoken through Heathcliffe  ) quote:
"this is true..just as patriotism is now interpreted
to condone murder..killing..and selfish greedfor, patriotism is a good vibrational thought form
only when it symbolizes and represents
loyalty and devotion to all Earthlings
as brothers and sisters..to all Nations..and eventually
to all Universes likewise just as Divinity
is a good vibrational thought form on Earth
only when it symbolizes or represents
all men and women as the Sons and Daughters
of God, the Father - and His Mate
who is the Mother of all Life forms upon your planet to place on nation - or one person - above all others
is a false patriotism and a false divinity"

Oh, I wouldn't say that, Carlo. Just because people in Lindaland support the US in the present conflict doesn't necessarily mean they feel any one country is morally or Spiritually superior. I do realize that patriotism can lead to thoughts of superiority, but at the same time, I feel that a person can have cultural and national pride and still seek global equality and Peace.  ------------------

Thanks Harpyr, for your message of unity!It's good to see Linda's words in this forum where so many Knowflakes are at war with each other.  And BTW thanks Carlo -- you've brought some diversity and provocative thoughts and ideas here that I have found instructive and uplifting! I only come here occasionally out of hope, and rarely click on topics, but you two are among the ones that keep my hope going. cheers,

I agree with Randall. In my own opinion, I have not seen anyone state that one country is above all others nor have I seen them state that any one person is above anyone else. Just because there are those that stand behind the troops, country and president, does not translate to being insensitive or having false patriotism. I believe that everyone should be proud of who they are and where they came from as well as their country. IP: Logged |
