This was sent to me in an e-mail. I have no clue how to research it and see if it`s a misinterpretation, misquote or plain b.s.. Any one know? Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages... The following verse is from the Quran, (the Islamic Bible) Quran ( 9:11) -- For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace. juniperb IP: Logged |

Peace Juniperb.Although I would not argue with the meaning of the verse, the authenticity is questionable. The chapter and verse of the Quran, 9:11 are listed below. [9.11] But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.
Further, there is not mention of an "eagle" in the Quron, but there my be other symbols and metaphors.
There is certainly real prophacy, and the Muslims too are awaiting the second comming. They call the Christ "The Mahdi" or the "Hidden Imam". Your quote probably intends to convey that Belief rather than an actual recitation in the Holy Text. Peace. Meili IP: Logged |

hi juni, meiliall the reading ive done about hussein indicates that hes not that religious, basically religious because he has to be, but doesnt really practice what he preaches to use a coin of phrase. thats what ive read anyway. hes not the most adherent to the muslim faith, but puts on a show. if that makes sense.
