Hey guys! As perhaps you have seen in soul unions I have been enjoying developing a relationship with my Libra

Here is my point. This is my first love-style relationship with a black woman. And this is her first with a non-black person (meeee!). We are both not afraid of this prospect, and enjoy each others "exoticness" to the other.

I think it is just wonderful how people more and more do not see color or nationality as an obstacle, or something that divides us. Instead I think/hope/pray we as a people are learning accept and value and see the beauty in all the different races. What harmony we would all have if we can just shed those old ways of thinking and stop stereotyping. I'm putting the blame nowhere, because it lies with all people. While I don't want to sound like this is all I reference, but while I was in jail, I noticed many many bad things going on: blacks hating whites, whites hating blacks, spanish people hating them both. *sigh* Let's rise up as a people and unite! Harmonize! I do know I can't expect utopia but I can at least try.

If all of the nationalities kept intermingling the skin color of everyone would be a beautiful dark golden color...ever noticed how beautiful kid is that is born of mixed nationalities, I think the beauty is a symbol of the beauty of people harmonizing. It's like a lesson.

I think having all sorts of friends and all sorts of lovers is what makes life fruitful, so don't be shy, explore!

I would love to hear how you are exploring things like this. While I would love to have make babies with the Libra, science hasn't come up with that yet. Just think how cute our babies would be!

I've noticed that half white / half asian children are almost always beautiful. Actually, the grown ups to.

I've often wondered what would we look like if all the races just melded into one. I think we'd all look a little like Mariah Carrey, or Tiger Woods, or Keannu Reeves...or a blend of all three, if you can picture that. But, some people are very very proud of their ethnicity, and the idea of the distinction being gone makes them .....well, just to suggest it is stepping on their "sacred cows", so to speak.

It's a loaded subject, Amigo.
Such an Aquarian, you are.

That's true Lioneye...well I hope people will see hardly anyone has a totally pure bloodline of one race anymore anyways- well I hope that people can look to intermingle. Haha your right, I am a total Aquarian, and sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's odd

thanks!

"I would love to hear how you are exploring things like this." -Fajita

For me, it is a way of life. Because I think when one puts herself on an exploratory phase, there is always the option to go back. Which is cool option. I just don't create that option for myself.

May be this is too intimate, but hey we are pushing boundaries. In a dark room lit with candle light, everybody is gorgeous. All the sounds, smells, touch, and movements. If one is invested in the moment and in the person one is with, all social boundaries and stigmas become obsolete. What anyone thinks from the outside does not matter.

Then there's the outside environment. May be I've gotten looks from people being in a mixed ethnic relationship. I truthfully don't pay attention. Neither does my current boyfriend. He is European. I was simply in awe weeks ago when we were kissing on a park bench on a busy Union Square in the wee hours of the morning, he was focused on me and did not pay attention to anyone else. We just freely kissed. It feels wonderful to be with someone who is open and not embarassed to be seen with me.

Hi Aphrodite,

Well, I am mixed. My father is Spanish and American Indian and my mother is German with some Cherokee.

She is a very white, blonde hair - blue eyed lady and he has the reddish brown skin tone.

I think being mixed gives us a different perspective on life and prevents us from making snap judgments based on someones looks.

The guy I am with now is a white Norweigen / Scottish cutet from Idaho. I have mainly dated white guys, but also dated a couple of hispanic, asian, Irish, English...etc.. I guess it is really what appeals to me.

I have not had a black boyfriend. Not because I didn't want one, but we did not have a high population of blacks in my part of OC California. I did have a crush on basketball player from my college, but he would only date black girls.

Oh well. LOL

The dirt which is our habitual perception of "a person" is simply that...dirt. In fact, it isn't even them that we are seeing, but the light reflected off of them. If you were to see what a person's body actually looks like, we'd all look alike. We'd be the black of material things. That absorbing, ingesting, devouring substance of which is made all material things. What we are is the light, the energy that pushes this dirt around. All people are the same. All people are possessed of the same potential for goodness and love. Noone will ever know what you have inside of you, until you somehow, manage to let your light shine through your dirt mind and your dirt body. If you behave like dirt, greedy, self absorbed, taking and always attaching yourself to things..then you have allowed the dirt in you to define what you are. If, instead, you exhibit the characteristics of light; if you are giving, generous and warm, spreading joy, love and sunshine indiscriminately wherever you go, then it is YOU that has broken through the dirt shell which surrounds you. Your mind, ego, body and desires are an illusion, a covering for the light that is YOU. You are light, so be light and shine!

See also, thoughts on these reflections, reflections on this illusion.

hello pidaua and dafremen,

pidaua, so you are a hapa baby! it's hawaiian for mixed ethnic kids.

dafremen, i understand where you are coming from. i interpret your note in a spiritual way. the funny thing (i say funny in a loose fashion, not literally) is that there are many groups in the world who make their living studying "dirt" and how this "dirt" interacts with others in things like relationships, popular culture, and commercial enterprises. it's quite an undertaking. sometimes i wonder if it's a blind endeavor we (loose meaning) make. these studies exist in the history books kids learn from to the national census poll we fill out every decade in the U.S. or are we, on the other hand, the the blind ones attempting to live out a utopia?

quirky thoughts

love,

aph.

oh, i also wanted to point out that there are academics who believe there are subconscious racial connotations when words like "dirt" and "light" are used to describe people.

someone could also make an inference that "dirt" is "bad" and "light" is "good." another subconscious tendency is to associate dirt with colors, whereas light is associated with whiteness.

just thoughts.

Thoughts are only reflections of those who thought them love. Let your first thought stand as the reflection of you and what you bring to life. What a lovely light you must be!

Let the second thought stand as a reflection of those academics and what they bring to life.

Hi Aphrodite,

How is your flu? I am getting over mine, I think. I went out West and brought home an influenza souvenir. Yet, and this is off the subject I know, but I have noticed something weird with me. I get sick with something like the flu and notive most people are knocked out for a week. I will get hit for 1-2 days, then rebound, only to suffer the sniffles and a bit of congestion.

Astrologically, maybe have Pluto in the first house does help with illness and disease, but my friends are always teasing me about it. I do count my blessings.

Okay, so before I went off on my tangent. Yep, I am a Hapa Baby. Funny thing is, when I was living in Oregon we had a group of Hawaiian students that thought I was also Hawaiian. Man, I wished

I have only been to Hawaii once and that was to Maui with my mom a few years ago. What a beautiful place!!!

hiya pidaua,

i am over the flu now. this took 2 weeks to recover from. when i catch something, it almost always takes longer to recover from the infection than most folks. count your blessings yours take 1-2 days to run their course.

my transits aren't that great right now, so i have to be more careful.

hawaii has a dominant hapa population b/c japanese, filipino, and chinese plantation workers had relationships with the natives. just the history. i've read that mainstream hawaiian food is a combination of the 4 cultures.

mmh, now hot pineapple, rice and sweet potato sounds really good to eat for lunch.

a.
