Hard working is certainly not way to reach your goals. Lot of Indians work harder and harder and reach nowhere. Japanese, know how to work. Indians describe Japanese as hard workers. It is not about hard work it is how work

Ofcourse I do not mean answer is good shortcut. There is no shortcut. What happens to you is not because of you. But, you are responsible for what happens. It is obvious. You cannot deny

Hard work is no way related to culture. But this is common wrong belief of Indians. It is deep rooted in society. Indians have to concentrate more on how than working hard. It is not possible

Hi Raj. I have not been to India, so I am somewhat ignorant about the average job or work day. Would you care to share more information, such as how many hours per day most people work, how many days per week, and what is considered an average hourly wage?

I do not know. I have said Statistics usually lie - not all of them. Most Indians want to work hard, there are Indians who work hard and India is still only developing country. It is not about Hard working, Indians will not realize and India will always be developing country. It is quite true.

Perhaps people such as you will be able to lead your country in new directions in the future. May you find a way to reach your goals.

Not to sound antagonizing or anything, but if you think you could contribute to the betterment of your country, why give up and leave?
Indians are very successful workers worldwide. India is a developing country not because Indians don't know how to work but because they gained independence only slightly more than 50 years ago- a pinprick in the time-line of a country. Don't forget that India was a british colony for more than 200 years before then, and a lot of the natural resources there were exploited by the British at the time.

hi raj,

india has begun to get into the spotlight in regards to companies outsourcing services there. these days, programming is a popular favorite, as i think it is eventually becoming a commodity.

i don't know india's economy very well, its future can technically go in any direction. historical examples would predict that over time there will be a saturation and the work force will demand more money and higher standards of living. salaries will go up and companies will go to other countries negotiating for cheaper sources of commoditized labor, as long as there is a demand for their products.

at that point, india will have to decide in what creative and original directions it will go in the market place.

thoughts?
