After making a comment about UN-Pennsylvanian and un-American speech, Teresa Heinz Kerry denied she said un-American and told a news type to "shove it" I can applaud her attitude with the press but not her lie. For 2 years the far left radicals that comprise the core of the Democrat Party have told every lie imaginable about the President. When the President tells the truth about John Kerry's record, it's somehow uncivil and un-American. Sunday, July 25, 2004 11:28 p.m. EDT Heinz Kerry Tells Reporter to 'Shove It' BOSTON — Teresa Heinz Kerry urged her home-state delegates to the Democratic National Convention to restore a more civil tone to American politics, then minutes later told a newspaperman to "shove it." http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/7/25/232943.shtml IP: Logged |

Whoops! Networks "Reigning" in the Empress Tuesday, July 27, 2004 10:13 a.m. EDT Networks Pull Plug on Teresa's Speech The three major broadcast networks have pulled the plug on tonight's Democratic convention speech by Teresa Heinz Kerry - just two days after she went off the deep end by telling a reporter to "shove it" as TV cameras rolled. ABC, NBC and CBS have decided to draw the curtain on Teresa's big night, canceling live coverage of tonight's proceedings altogether, as fears mount among Democrats that Heinz Kerry, a loose cannon who either bores audiences with her slow, monotonous drone or shocks them by talking about her Botox injections and other indelicate topics, will say something inappropriate. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/7/27/101535.shtml IP: Logged |

Yep, that was Cheney but at least he didn't lie about it I don't think the networks are going to refuse coverage of his speech at the Republican Convention, hell, he might say it again. Of course that's exactly the reason the networks aren't going to cover Heinz Kerry's speech, she might say it again too and embarrass John Heinz Kerry. IP: Logged |

Just my opinion...I was watching Teresa's speech at the DNC, and my god, she was slow and monotone, and totally not with the program, or with the beat of the DNC. All the other politicians were happy and cheery even Ted Kennedy was jumping up and down, I mean the DNC is a big party or perhaps a theatre production, and then of course Teresa comes on, and totally brings down the emotion. She ended on a totally sour note, and then a big happy song had to come on, and save the crowd's ears from her terrible speech with absolutely no substance whatsoever. Teresa being a smart intelligent woman I really expected more feeling out of her. She didn't spend much time endorsing her husband, but only talked about her own views, which in my view, is not in touch with what we're really up against in the future. Teresa Heinz you make me... -StarLover IP: Logged |

Well StarLover, it's just my opinion, but I think you're right that Teresa's agenda is an international agenda. Perhaps Teresa doesn't understand that John Kerry is running for President of the United States. So is John Kerry's but that's something they've been trying to keep under wraps. For instance, he is keen to involve the UN in every aspect of America's business and once said no American military forces should ever be deployed anywhere in the world unless they were under the direct control of UN commanders I watched some of the speeches tonight and in truth, the audience reaction was a little flat. I could see the different constituency groups cheer a little when their personal hot buttons were pushed but the Democrat party is only unified in it's hatred of Bush. The different parts of the party do not share broad areas of agreement on most of the issues and are a collection of single issue groups. Teresa speech update Tuesday, July 27, 2004 11:27 p.m. EDT Teresa Poll: Thumbs Down by 3 to 1 An unscientific America Online poll taken during Teresa Heinz Kerry's Democratic Convention speech shows that Americans think she's a major drag on the Kerry Edwards ticket. With over ten thousand votes tallied by the end of her address, 61 percent said Heinz Kerry will hurt her husband's presidential bid, with only 23 percent seeing her as a plus. Fifteen percent felt she would neither help nor hurt the ticket............ http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/7/27/232855.shtml

There was an enormous standing ovation for Howard Dean, it was incredible, I was shocked at the applause Howard Dean had received, even though he lost the primaries miserabley. It really does tell you something. Yes, Teresa's veiws are too international for America's taste during these times. She is totally off-beat with what the United States needs right now. -StarLover IP: Logged |

I totally agree with that article. She totally brought down the beat and the emotion of the DNC. "By the end I half expected her to break out into, 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina'." -Chris Wallace -StarLover

I was very impressed by Mrs. Kerry AND her speech! Her style is "different" for sure, but I really think she's a woman who will not be stifled (hear that Archie Bunker? ) and has what it takes to speak her mind...and that woman has a mind!As for her voice being slow and monotone; she speaks with an "accent" (speaks five different languages)and sometimes it's difficult to make out what she is saying, so I think speaking slowly was smart on her part. I was very impressed by her, and think she will probably be one of our most popular first ladies, since Jacqueline Kennedy... (oops! gettin' ahead of myself here) Love, Rainbow IP: Logged |

Hey, I'm all for Teresa telling the press to "shove it". So much in fact that I'd like to introduce her to Dan Rupture, Tom Brokcough and Peter Lemmings. IP: Logged |

Dan Blather, Dan Rupture, could be the same guy. Let's see, short, stocky, wiry grey/black hair, CBS news anchor, uses facial expressions to show approval, disapproval, contempt, disgust or other emotions during his "news" accounts. Subjectively reports the news or withholds important news stories altogether if they disagree with or counter his views?Ummm, let's go with Dan Blather. IP: Logged |
