Left-Liberal Left-Liberals generally embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but support central decision-making in economics. They want the government to help the disadvantaged in the name of fairness. Liberals tend to tolerate social diversity, but work for what they might describe as "economic equality."------------------ Hello everybody! With or without taking the test, I always thought that I was a Libertarian, the shocking part of it is, I didn't know that their really was a professional name for people like me! However, I've had my fair share of being called a "Non-conformist" in my life before!IP: Logged |

Who knew??? quote: Centrist Centrists favor selective government intervention and emphasize what they commonly describe as "practical solutions" to current problems. They tend to keep an open mind on political issues. Many centrists feel that government serves as a check on excessive liberty.
Actually, I was right on the border between Left-liberal, Status (big governmnent) and Centrist. The dot was right on the bottem left corner of the Centrist square. But, it's a rather simplistic quiz, so hmmm. Maybe it's just that easy to peg someone's political bent. IP: Logged |

I had a professor in college who used to say the day you turn on the TV and see only good news, is the day you have to worry. There's nothing new under the sun, Philly. We've been intolerant, fighting, raping, killing, since time began. Check the Bible, if it's your kind of book. It's filled with that sort of thing. IP: Logged |

Hey, just bumping this up. This the other test I mentioned in the liberal/conservative quiz thread. On this one I'm a centrist. ------------------ "To learn is to live, to study is to grow, and growth is the measurement of life. The mind must be taught to think, the heart to feel, and the hands to labor. When these have been educated to their highest point, then is the time to offer them to the service of their fellowman, not before." - Manly P. Hall IP: Logged |

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.IP: Logged |

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems. The RED DOT on the Chart shows where you fit on the political map. IP: Logged |
