i am not saying that anyone is more important than anyone else at all. i am saying that ants and grasshoppers function differently and have different lifestyles.

the truth is no grasshopper ever asked the ant colony for freebies so it could live through the winter. it is a warm weather creature! and even cockroaches and vultures who appear to be "scavengers" (well, they ARE scavengers) contribute IN THEIR OWN WAY to the function of the whole.
