I should probably just let it lie but... I mean.. c'mon.. Am I the only one that reads between the lines??Jw, you did not say outright that you wanted to see LS get her head blown off but that's exactly what you said in your little weasely way of talkin shite. In the first paragraph you said that you had no doubt Ghandi would have had his head blown off it he'd tried his tactics with those dictators and then in the second paragraph you said that you'd be happy to see LS put her body on the line and try to use those same tactics with those dictators. Following the logic you just laid out in paragraph one, the only way I can understand that statement is that you would gather some kind of satisfaction from seeing LS go get her head blown off by some dictator. But hey.. it's all in good fun right. *blech* I, for one, found you comment to be utterly repugnant and uncalled for. I know jw ain't the only one slingin cr@p at other people around here but in just about every instance he's the instigator. I often times have to wonder just what it is you get out of this forum, jw. It seems like the only comments you ever post are for the sole purpose of antagonizing other knowflakes. Have you ever even read a Linda Goodman book? IP: Logged |

Harpyr, I think I've found the problem in what you post in response to what I say. You're reading between the lines. Stop that Harpyr, there isn't anything between the lines in what I write. You must be drawing a lot of blanks. Eleanore, thanks for posting the information about the differences between a Constitutional Republic and a Democracy...of any kind. Others have attempted to drive the point home that the US is a Republic and not a Democracy. Perhaps your effort will be successful. IP: Logged |

quote: I was indeed I who said the British were inherently decent and civilized. Of course, those terms are relative and evolve over time.My point was that Gandhi's peace and non violence policy, which was one of passive resistance would only work with nations like the British or other western nations. They would never have worked with, for instance, Saddam Hussein, Joseph Stalin, Mao, Castro, Kim Jong Ill, Pot Pol or Ho Chi Minh, et.al. Any one of those dictators would have seized Gandhi and executed him without a second thought.
tch, tch, like u advised me sooo wisely JW, it was unwise for you to talk about what you know swat about. indeed what do YOU know about Gandhi and our fight for Independence ? and Britain being Decent and civilised you wouldnt happen to have british settler ancestry would you ? fact is in the 3 centuries we were a colony they systematically extermninated 8 million if not more . how ? thats for you to google and turn pink about IP: Logged |
