I've been saying for months now that Bush bears a remarkable resemblance to Ahriman. Eleanore, if you see this tell me what you think.IP: Logged |

Maybe the Anti-Christ is not a person. Maybe it is a prevailing mentality of a whole society. IP: Logged |

It's not that I don't think that Bush might be the antichrist, it still makes a good arguement and I kinda wonder that myself anymore, but I think that the thread that I just brought up turned out to be anything but Bush, which even furthers my point...He sure is definitely an "untouchable"! Sometimes, I wonder if he has an invisible force field around him that repels anything bad coming at him, ANYTHING! IP: Logged |

This thread is proof beyond any doubt that there is a sizable segment of the population without sufficient brain cells for rational thought.I often wonder what they have to shut down when they attempt to actually think because it's clear they can't operate everything at the same time. Is is necessary to close their eyes or do they have to shut down their speech function...or both? Let me frame this in a way that doesn't require an abundance of thought to grasp the essential fact. George W. Bush won the Presidential election. IP: Logged |

Exactly! If Bush ACTUALLY won (and I have my doubts), then this could also apply to the American population at large....God help us! Love, Rainbow IP: Logged |

It must be a terrible handicap to never know anything for certain and have to resort to speculation about everything of importance.Of course, that leaves those afflicted with uncertainty open to manipulation by every dishonest drivel spouter of the Marxist far left. IP: Logged |

Actually, jwhop, never knowing things for certain is the trademark of an open mind. Once anyone thinks they know something for certain then the mind closes to all other viewpoints and options and that person is incapable of learning one thing new. The truth is we live in an uncertain world and that applies to religion as well. We can never be totally certain so we need to keep digging deeper before we say we know all truth and that's that. You would be a good leader, jwhop with your intelligence if you weren't so certain that you were right and everyone else was wrong. When it comes to truth, often it lies somewhere in the middle of what both sides are saying. IP: Logged |

Thanks Ozone for providing the news from the alternative universe, the universe where John Kerry won the election. You might want to consider taking up permanent residence there. I think the next 4 years are just going to be hell for you in this one. Sorry to disappoint you Mirandee but obviously I don't believe everyone else is wrong. Sorry also you cannot come to any firm conclusions about right and wrong or find any core values to guide you through life. I'm not going to change my mind and begin questioning everything I believe to be true all over again. I didn't arrive at my beliefs without due diligence and thought. I know there is a herd mentality at work in circles where the President is demonized and hated but I'm not much of a joiner under any circumstances, nor am I interested in leading anyone to the promised land. The truth falls wherever it falls but seeking it in the middle of the extremes of thought on an issue is just as irrational as looking under the nearest rock. The truth is not about compromise.
