Oh I see! Sorry about that 26. I was aware of True Blue, but that was posted such a long time ago I didn't think of it. I didn't know the other one was there. Thank you for pointing it out to me though. Maybe I'll try to find time to read it.

"honest to God" Yes, 26. I meant that. I am not in the habit of lying.

Whether or not we appreciate someone's skills with poetry, maybe we could try to refrain from making fun of them? That would be the kind thing to do, wouldn't it?

pixel ~ thank you for clarifying. I think it means a lot. In fact I am a BIG FAN of clarification.

Thank you Juni. You always say what you have to say in a beautiful and graceful manner. Did you read your poem?

Speaking of Big Fan. Jwhop ~ I was hoping you would. Those are interesting questions and worthy of more than a little meditation. I will gladly give them that. I would not wish to give you a knee-jerk, ego-ridden response. Both you and the questions deserve better. May I explore them and get back to you, sir?

Life is a symphony, and the action of every person in this life is the playing of his particular part in the music.

The further we advance, the more difficult and the more important becomes our part in the symphony of life; and the more conscious we are of this responsibility, the more efficient we become in accomplishing our task.

Once a soul has awakened to the continual music of life, that soul considers it as his responsibility, his duty, to play his part in the outer life, even if it be contrary to his inner condition at the moment.

Of course TINK, you can get back to me anytime.

All who have strong opinions have an ego and there's nothing wrong with that. On the contrary, it's a balance between our Id and Superego. Show me a person with no ego and I'll show you a person with no power to influence either the world at large or the events that occur in their own lives.

We are not powerless TINK. So, show me your knee jerk reactions to what you see, hear or feel because that's the real TINK.

SH!,

Exposed me in a previous thread? LOL..you mean where you incorrectly identified me as a man..because I spoke plainly and intelligently? Oh yes, then you found out that I am a woman...and feminine one at that, with a brain so you degraded my feminity by insinuating that I must not be in touch with my feminine side because I did not roll over when challenged by men.

Hmmmm.....Good teacher (and I say that with sarcasm dripping from my mouth) what do you call a person that has to resort to questioning ones sexuality in order to spread your universal truths?

You Poem, while I am proud that you can Rhyme, was nothing more than 3rd grade drivel. The lovers I chose are a "drain" where the hell did that come from? As if you know who I am with?

There was only one other assnine human stain that called me Puddle..he is no longer here..tell me is he ANOTHER one of your alter egos or are you one of his? LOL....which personality will you log on as next?

Sesame,

I know that I alluded to SH finding a more articulate follower or Guru...I was just hoping maybe one of his / her personalities could actually make a point.

What very good observations jwhop.

I agree.
But I'll say that I think we could count the people who have had no ego and influenced the world in positive ways, on one finger......okay, maybe one hand.

Ego is useful. It is part of being human. And there is a positive and negative way to use everything.

Pidua,

The problem with you is not anymore complicated than the reality that you look into the mirror and see someone who has turned her back on the spirituality that was your birthright.

The Native Americans never placed an importance on the chintzy lifestyle that you have been trained to strive for.

Your plastic smile is just as feminine as any Barbie doll. I bet you don't even know why so many Native songs are sung with vocables, do you?

Hi Jwhop,

The foundation of strong opinions is straw.

As for those who think that's all the shield they need for this world, they see nothing of the Heart in others. So, you think that Tink is reactive. That just shows that you are threatened sufficiently to hide behind your flimsy wall of words.

Dear Saffron,

Beautiful post on music. I like that book too. In fact, my e-mail address, mayamalavagoula is based on one of the more popular Indian ragas. There is a correlation between that and the pentatonic Japanese scale . . . but I'll try not to get too eggheadish in this post yet. Do you play an instrument?

Hi Shizuka ~

i don't play an instrument...i did have a beautiful guitar, but had to sell it on ebay for $$.

the correlation between color and sound in that book is remarkably similar to what linda goodman talks about in star signs. also, the power of sound and words....i think linda must have had access to some of these teachings.

Oh I see Shizuka,

Now that you cannot counter my feminity and you realize that chastising a woman for having a strong voice is sooooooooo early 1800's, you now have to attack my being American Indian.

Hmmm..yes, that makes sense....funny, when I look in the mirror I see the faces of my ancestors. I can't help but know my true background and my nature as it stares back at me in my relfection, it stares back at me when I visit my dying full blooded Apache grandmother (whom I strongly resemble), it stares back at me when I look at my father.

Do I know the music - you bet ya..if I didn't understand the meaning behind the chants or the drums my family would have kicked my brown butt..LOL...it is woven into my very being. Do I practice the old ways ' YOU BET YA...it is also a very strong part of who I am..

But the difference between ME and YOU..is that I do NOT have to broadcast my spirituality on my sleeve. I do not have to come to a website / or forum and say "HEY LOOK AT ME...I AM SO SPIRITUAL".

I believe, as do my ancestors that the "power" or "spirit" speaks for itself, that if people ask and really seek to know, they will come and you provide direction. You do NOT solicit followers - you DO NOT push the belief in God / Goddess / the Creator onto others as an act of proof of what you are...

BUT..then if you had more of a superficial knowledge of American Indians and our practices you wouldn't have said such stupid things would you? You would have known....but I wouldn't have expected anything less from you.

Oh and thank you for commenting on my perfect smile and near Barbie doll face...I will thank my parents for you too since I owe any beauty to their genes. Have you seen my brother..I hear he is a hottie too.

THANK YOU PIDAUA!!!!! You nailed it for me.

I watched with open eyes as all this Magidivision & Meili business began to unfold. In came Shizuka.....which through me for a loop, because right away I thought of him/her as being an extremely negative and nasty, hateful and resentful person, and for the life of me I couldn't remember why, where was it that I had read comments from him/her? I thought it odd that this person would keep company with the others. I had hoped to find the time to look through old posts and find why I felt so much negativity towards this person........(something that I seldom feel)

......TA DA!! I believe it started when he/she was attacking you in that post you were referring to, where he/she was acting with such childlike, irrational behavior, totally ridiculous. Again, when this person entered the picture, my first thought was "You have got to kidd'in", sump'in ain't right here, let's talk multiple personalities. Holier than thou to pure ugliness. go figure

Thanks again for helping me solve this. schwew!

thank you future_uncertain, for the lovely compliment. I loved writing that little story, and so, that some enjoyed it is certainly a gift, for which I thank you.

Oh...and Randall, if'n I were a Guru, and you wanted to follow me, we'd start by doin' The Locomotion 'cross the country. "Everybody's doin' a brand new dance now...c'mon baby, do the locomotion..." We'd cancel each other out, though, 'cause if you were a GURU, I'd follow you!

neostar, of course, you are welcome to come do the Locomotion with us.

hello-

I've been following this drama for a while now, and as an outsider, it's truly obvious who are the peacemakers and who are (IS) the opposite of such. It's also strikingly clear how much so called 'wisdom' has been cut and pasted, and used as candy to lead children on the path to play follow the leader.

I wouldn't fuel the fire, but I'd warn those who follow. And then step out.

The most valuable lessons i've learned never came from someone who felt they were more superior than I.

The wisdom I can share comes from personal experiences, not something I read, heard, or just witnessed. That is just knowledge.

Anyway, it seems everyone is pretty clear on the fraud, and might I add, my ex- used to work in the Government intellegence agency of Australia, and he see's an obvious 'G.operative'- involved, it parrots a certain formula he's familiar with- it's quite probable he claims, mainly becuase it "appears" like an ego-maniac is after followers, and not to mention, the 'IP' magic.
I can say it all day long, there's no danger of presenting this possiblity in public.

Just an onion....

Namaste,
Daphne

"So, show me your knee jerk reactions to what you see, hear or feel because that's the real TINK."

Well, my initial reaction to this was - that's total crap. But I set that aside and decided to give it some further thought. I came to the conclusion that you were refering to the habit some of us have of over-thinking their position. Sometimes we let the intellect run wild to the exclusion of the heart and soul, yes? And so we are left with an idea bearing little resemblance to our "true self". Is this what you mean?

On the other hand (I think you're right about that Libra rising ), some of us find that our knee-jerk reactions are born of our conditioning and learned prejudices and whole bunches of other nasty stuff we accumulate over a lifetime. For instance, occasionally your manner of speaking reminds me of an old boss with whom I did not get along. Consequently, sometimes my initial negative reaction to your posts really doesn't have anything to do with what you have said but rather old feelings about him. I stop, I acknowledge that, I move on. Sometimes we need to dig through the sludge to get to our True Self. Know what I mean?

"All who have strong opinions have an ego and there's nothing wrong with that."

ooohhh this was a real juicy one too. I do not wish to have strong opinions. Opinions are untrustworthy, changeable silly little things. But I prefer them that way really. It is their nature to come and go and I permit them that, enjoying them very much while they are with me but all the while knowing their days are numbered. I think we sometimes hold on too tightly to our opinions. Opinions become dogma so quickly. What I mean to say is this: strongly held opinions very often lead to closed minds. Permit me another example? When I was younger, I was dangerousely close to being a flaming Liberal. Lucky for me, time and experience and Jwhop have taught me the error of my ways. But if I had held on too tightly to that opinion ...

Of course Faith is another matter entirely.

Now shut up and let me think about those original questions.

26 "Ego is useful. It is part of being human."
I so agree. I think the Ego has an important part to play in human spiritual evolution.

Tink, I'm so glad you're still here with us.

Opinions. I love strong opinions. But I have always reserved the right to change my mind. Like Jodie Foster said, one must be "a tee in da whiyand." Or something like that.
