You have to remember BlueRoamer, our president is from Texas - they have their own language down there (believe me!) (And "ooching" is a word.)

I like it when W trips over his tongue like that. It shows that he is human, imperfect, but trying. You can't tell me that you've never mixed up words or stumbled over a pronunciation at some time. He may not be the most proficient speaker, but he knows how to get your attention.

I hear ya, LLL. While the Bushisms are entertaining, we've all produced similar blunders when under stress. It's only human - president or file clerk.... We're all the same in certain ways...

Aw, come on, he's the PRESIDENT, for chrissake!! Shouldn't he be held to a higher standard? I know high-school students that are better public speakers and communicators than he is. Shouldn't that be a basic requirement for the job?

Those quotes are hilarious, in a sad sort of way

Which speaks to me of just how over-scripted and undereducated/unintelligent/uninformed (again what I would consider prerequisites of the job) the man is. As far as I'm concerned the man is an idiot pawn of the oil barons. Not to say he's a bad person, just don't think he's qualified to be the leader of the "free" world!!!!

I don't feel sorry for the man. He chose this position of power, and the spotlight that comes with it. Maybe a few public speaking courses at least would be in order, (so as not to be such an embarrassment) better yet maybe if he actually thought for himself once in a while his thoughts would become clearer!!

God knows I wouldn't want the job, but I would hope for more out of our leader...

We don't elect Presidents because they're pretty, because they're witty, because the French, Germans or Chinese like them or because they're particularly well spoken.

We elect Presidents because they're intelligent and tough enough to get the damn job done and Bush is plenty tough enough. For proof of that, you can ask the Taliban, ask Saddam, ask al-Queda and ask Col. Qadhafi.

As for intelligence, Bush has a higher IQ than John Kerry...who couldn't pass the entrance exam for Harvard. The same Harvard from which Bush earned a Masters in Business.

I guess you could also ask the entire Democrat party which Bush shot down in flames, ask the news media who attacked Bush and lost sizable portions of their viewers and readers...especially, ask Dan Rather.

So the airhead brigades continue to whine and moan about the President's intelligence and speech patterns but every time someone takes Bush on, he kicks their butts. You might want to verify that with Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle who attempted to obstruct the President's agenda and got a ticket back to South Dakota for his efforts. Make that Ex Senate Minority Leader.

Enjoy your delusion.

Yes, Pid, because it's easy to sum up someone's intellect based on a handful of brief internet posts. Let's not be preumptuous. And with your aries moon, I'm sure I give you great pleasure by providing an adversary to focus your "wit" upon. Hopefully I'm giving Mr.Taurus a little break =)

http://www.historychannel.com/benfranklin/

in defense of bush about that body parts speech i quoted in the humvee thread ,...he made that same speech like 4 times that day saying "body armor and spare parts" or something then the last time he gave the speech that day he said "body parts"......i wonder if he even realized he mispoke?

Oh well, the man's great for kicks and giggles. I agree with delerious, I do know people even in my high school that could beat down Bush's speaking skills with a stick, but what can you do?

I don't know too much about Bush's "subconcious freudian" ways that might be the problem, but it just could be his "Malignant egophrenia" that kicks in from time to time!

Gotta laugh at the Bushishisms though, it's his way of making America face the state of terror in the world with a light heart!

I've heard you mention before that Pres. Bush has a higher IQ than John Kerry. So what exactly is Pres. Bush's IQ?
