This is an Iced Earht song composed by Jon Schaffer him self.- Valley Forge - Close your eyes and imagine The soldier at valley Forge The suffering taht he endured was real Stravation, Total War Yet in his eyes, the Iron Will To WIn And for the cause he wont relent Standing barefoot, Frozen bloody hands His musket clutched, an Iron Grip For the cause he has but one regret That hes only got one life to give [Chorus] Would he look upon us now In anger and Discust ? His providence, our Birthright and our Creed Will we let ignorance and laziness Bring our demise ? Complacency , We're blinded by our greed Its time for us to open up our eyes And cherish the lives we all can have And to the ones who've kept our freedom free Words cant express all that you have done [chorus] Would he look upon us now in anger and discust ? His providence, our birthright and our Creed Will we let ignorance and laziness Bring our demise ? Complacency, We're blinded by our greed I will leave these lyrics to be interpreted however the viewer wishes to see them. IP: Logged |

Tell him he should get Iced Earths The Glorius Burden albaum. At the end it has a 3 movement heavy metal with orchestra symphony - Gettysburg Symphony. I love it ! Every other song on the albaum is based on some particular characters point of view in different wars throghout history... Even has Atilah. IP: Logged |

You really do have to filter out the songs and movies nowadays. Most of it is garbage. And they all have different meanings to different people. You can find signs in the most simplest things. Look at the sun that comes up in the morning to brighten your day, and helps you to see, that plants need to survive, and hence you need to survive too. And the night, for sleep. Be grateful for what you have right under your nose. And don't waste your precious life in paranoia or trying to convince others. Everyone has their own will, their own soul...and their own tests and trials. Focus on your own soul first. And if you want to lead, then lead by example.

Very true that signs from the devine are all around, and everywhere for those who look and listen DayDreamer..... but are you sure that you arent once again trying to downplay the true potency and power that lies in MUSIC and the other arts once again ?!!! Theres always what and how a song is taken by the particular individual ears, but theres no doubt the auther/composer had an original intent of message and meening, even if he/she where to have ment nothing. Well there are signs in everything if you look, positive and negative signs. Most of the music out there, in my opinion, isn't spreading much positivity. I don't recall downplaying music's potency. Perhaps you are talking about types of music. And what other arts are you talking about?IP: Logged |

I keep thinking of LindaLand when I hear this song, and, in particular, the bolded words:Five-O Are you open for trade Your salvation, for something, for some thrills Is a body of work for your inspection You can trace, trace my concern My concern I've been looking for truth At the cost of living I've been afraid Of what's before mine eyes Every answer found Begs another question The further you go, the less you know The less i know I can feel your face Gonna make it mine I can be the man I see in your eyes Can you take my weight Are we both too small Know each other well We've met before Will we grow together Will it be a lie If it lasts forever, hope i'm the first to die Will you marry me, can we meet the cost Is the power of love worth the pain of loss Can you pay the bill, will you keep the change Are you here for the party, or are you here for the pain I can feel your face Gonna make it mine I can be the man I see in your eyes Will we grow together Will it be a lie If it lasts forever, hope i'm the first to die Hope i'm the first to die It's by a band named James on an album called Laid. I absolutely love this band! The singer's quite the philosopher in my book. How are these for some opening lines?: I'm a member of an ape-like race At the as$hole end of the twentieth century This film's a thriller of the mind Will we destroy our homes, release ourselves from the Weights of gravity? I'll be amazed if we survive

That singer, Tim Booth, is really something. Not always, but enough that he's one of my favorite lyricists ever. I want to post more of his lyrics, but I'm not sure which ones.IP: Logged |
