Report: Cosmetics firm using remains of executed Chinese

A Chinese cosmetics company has been using skin taken from the bodies of executed convicts to develop beauty products for sale in Europe, a London newspaper reported.

An agent for the company informed customers it is developing collagen for lip and wrinkle treatments from skin taken from prisoners after they had been shot.

The agent said some of the company‘s products have been exported to Britain, and that the use of skin from condemned convicts was “traditional" and nothing to “make such a big fuss about,“ the Guardian reported
In addition to ethical concerns, there is the potential risk of infection from the harvested skin products.

The company was not identified by name for legal reasons and it is unclear whether collagen made from the skin of prisoners was in the research stage or in actual production.

“A lot of the research is still carried out in the traditional manner using skin from the executed prisoners and aborted fetus," the agent was quoted as saying. The material, he said, was being bought from “biotech" companies based in Heilongjiang Province and was being developed elsewhere in China.

He suggested that the use of skin and other tissues harvested from executed prisoners was not uncommon. “In China it is considered very normal and I was very shocked that Western countries can make such a big fuss about this," he said.

And no, it's not unsuitable for children. It's science and it's something that is posted in several newspapers.

It has nothing graphic concerning sexual positions or predilictions nor does it discuss any violent undertaking during the removal of the skin.

In fact, there is nothing in this article that comes close to the standard (see the Child Bride thread) if you wish to take this before Randall and the moderators, I think you should do so. You would look like a fool, but hell, at least we'd all get a big laugh out of it.

I write this way - pure and simple. I write arguments, protocols and grants. LOL.... so, me responding to you and letting you know what the "real protocol" would be is nothing more than second nature to me.

LOL.... I knew what you were doing playing the devils advocate concerning what may or may not be considered graphic in nature. I merely answered your question and allowed you the information in how you could proceed to take your case before the mods.

If you do not want an answer or response maybe you should qualify that with "please don't respond as I can't take it"

And of course humour, as with most things. is a personal thing.....

Isnt it......so I suppose one cannot really say THIS IS FUNNY.....it would probably be more appropriate to say....I THINK this is funny....

Of course the same goes for anything of a graphic nature....I may not be offended but you may , for example by sexual mattersl, ....do I really have to spell this out....?

It makes the writer appear less arrogant somehow when they take a broader view of life, less clinical, more human somehow......!!

Hey and you never know you MAY just learn something from listening to others...
