Russo's 'Freedom To Fascism' Big Success At Cannes
Film's Premiere Gets Standing Ovation To Open Across America July 28 By Jim Kirwan 5-26-6 CANNES, FRANCE Aaron Russo's incendiary political documentary which exposes many of the governmental organizations and entities that have abridged the freedoms of U.S. citizens had its international premiere at Cannes and won a standing ovation. The event, which was held on the beach and filled to capacity, was open to the public and drew a crowd of people who stood along the boardwalk to watch the film. Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, as well the former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents, tax attorneys and authors, Russo proves conclusively that there is no law requiring citizens to pay a direct tax on their labor. His film connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, voter fraud, the national identity card (which becomes law in May 2008) and the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to track citizens. Neither left nor right-wing in perspective, the film concludes that the U.S. government is taking on the characteristics of a police state. Doc will open on multiple screens in cities across the U.S. beginning July 28. The international audience at Cannes as well as the European media has been fascinated by Russo's fiery diatribe against the direction America is heading. The discussion that followed the preview lasted for thirty minutes. Actor Nick Nolte, in Cannes for the premiere of "Over The Hedge," joined Russo during the event. "The information in this film is something everybody has to know", said Nolte, who was the lead actor in "Teachers," a film produced by Russo. Russo, who is best known as the producer of feature films including "The Rose" with Bette Midler and "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd, wrote, produced, and directed the doc. "I am disgusted by the direction America was heading," says Russo. "I made this movie because I want to live in a free country and I want my kids and grandkids to live in a free country. The American people must abandon the myth that America is still the land of liberty that it once was." Russo's doc already has a tremendous grass root groundswell behind it. The film has previewed in over twenty-five cities with sold out theatres and standing ovations. The website, www.freedomtofascism.com has been had over five hundred thousand (500,000) streams of the video trailer. Additionally, through the website and from grassroots screenings, over $100,000 in non-deductible donations has been collected to help with the theatrical release.

No American freedoms have been abridged.More claptrap nonsense from the brain dead leftist moron writers and the notoriously brain dead Hollywood set. I'll bet you thought I was going to say something negative about the article, the writer and the movie...huh? You know, they make movies like this for a very special audience. IP: Logged |

Looks interesting, Rainbow ... okay, I'll admit it, and a little scary, too.jwhop, Hello. I noticed you didn't attack the movie ... could it be because you agree with some of (or dare we hope all) of the following items that it discusses ... "Primary Objectives Stop the polarization of America Stop the domination of the Democratic and Republican parties over our political system Shut down the Federal Reserve system Return America's gold to Fort Knox and have it audited Have Congress and the IRS, in a public forum, reveal the law that requires Americans to pay a direct, unapportioned tax on their labor. Make computerized voting illegal in all 50 states Keep the internet free and out of the control of large institutions Rescind the law called the Real ID Act so Americans never have to carry a National ID Card Make it illegal to implant RFID chips in human beings Educate juries to the fact that they have the right to determine the law as well as the facts of a case Educate juries to the fact that they are not obligated to follow the instructions of a judge Stop Globalization because it is the path to a one world government Protect our borders Restore the environment Put an end to the Patriot Act Sign up millions of Americans so we can accomplish our objectives" http://www.freedomtofascism.com/ Or do you not? You're the one always arguing against "nutty leftists" getting things always wrong and blowing things out of proportion. How about doing me a personal favoring and easing my mind by laying out how you come to a balance between the aforementioned and your previous statement that, "No American freedoms have been abridged." Please.

Definetly looks interesting, Rainbow, if not the sort of thing I want to watch to relax, heh.Though, America has been every bit an Orwellian kind of state at least since the end of WWII - it's not like we're just starting down the road now. IP: Logged |

I definitely want to see the movie, Rainbow!!! quote: I want to live in a free country and I want my kids and grandkids to live in a free country. The American people must abandon the myth that America is still the land of liberty that it once was."
He was speaking my words there and we have the same motivation for doing all we can to restore democracy in America. I think you are right, Johnny. It hasn't started just now. It's been going on for a long time. It is just more blatant in this administration because due to 9/11 Bush has amassed more power than any president in history. Never a good idea in a democracy to give one man that kind of power. IP: Logged |

I agree, Mirandee. *Especially* when there is good evidence to suggest that the same man and his cohorts were responsible for the event that gave them all the power in the first place. IP: Logged |

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that favor, Eleanore. jwhop's only "skill" is insult. He's no good at logical debate. And if he should reply with what appears to be a sensible rebuttal, don't be fooled. All he'll do is post other people's words and ideas (lots of them, directly copied and pasted), not his own. IP: Logged |

"Primary Objectives "Stop the polarization of America" Absolutely, throw every America hating leftist out of America "Stop the domination of the Democratic and Republican parties over our political system" Absolutely, but that doesn't mean an alternative with an anything goes platform...including legalizing hard drugs or weed."Shut down the Federal Reserve system." Absolutely, yesterday, today or tomorrow at the latest. "Return America's gold to Fort Knox and have it audited" That gold has been auctioned by those who do not want a gold standard...the Fed. Chances of ever getting it back are slim...perhaps to none without direct threat of military action or some black operations to retrieve it. Still, it's a worthy and desirable goal. Silver coin and US Treasury Notes backed by silver are an alternate option. "Have Congress and the IRS, in a public forum, reveal the law that requires Americans to pay a direct, unapportioned tax on their labor." Well, we both know neither the IRS or Government lawyers can do that because it's not to be found. My solution, repeal the 16th amendment and repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. "Make computerized voting illegal in all 50 states" Sure, or pass legislation requiring a paper receipt with all the voters votes and an assigned sequential voting number of the recorded vote..in duplicate...one for the voter and one for the voting precinct. "Keep the Internet free and out of the control of large institutions" Absolutely and not only that but deny UN control over the Internet so dictatorships could not control the content of online information. I note Google is cooperating with communist China and has given China the information to convict dissenters from Communist gulag rule. "Rescind the law called the Real ID Act so Americans never have to carry a National ID Card" Absolutely, the day American citizens need to carry identification...which probably would have unique identification identifiers built in to monitor the coming and going of Americans about their lawful business should be the 2nd American Revolution Day in America. "Make it illegal to implant RFID chips in human beings" Without question. This is the most invasive abuse of privacy, the threshold of an electronic, moneyless, utterly corrupt government and a system to monitor everything a citizen does 24/7. Again, 2nd American Revolution time. "Educate juries to the fact that they have the right to determine the law as well as the facts of a case" Certainly and prosecute corrupt judges who fail to instruct juries they have to power to judge the facts and the law in the case before them. "Educate juries to the fact that they are not obligated to follow the instructions of a judge" That's right. Judges are not there to help decide outcomes...in jury trials. They are there to move the trial though a legal and unbiased process to a conclusion and decision reached by a jury of the accused or petitioners peers. Stop Globalization because it is the path to a one world government Agreed, but that might entail either one of two possibilities, neither palatable to some or many is some groups of Americans. "Protect our borders" Close the borders and seal them tight against any foreign invasion of illegals immigrants, illegal workers or terrorists. There are rational ways to deal with those already here...including terrorists. But not by rewarding illegal behavior and letting them stay in the country without going to the back of the immigration line...if they truly want to work or live here legally. "Restore the environment" Restore it to what? 1492 "Put an end to the Patriot Act" No, the Patriot Act is not being used against ordinary citizens. In fact, many of the provisions of the Act incorporate techniques used against organized crime in America. Are terrorists and suspected terrorists above the laws used to monitor, detect, disrupt, convict and jail members of crime families? The provisions of the RICO statutes are incorporated into the Patriot Act. Personally, I'm not for coddling terrorists and suspected terrorists...either foreign or home grown. IP: Logged |

Thanks, jwhop! Glad to know that we agree on many points. Although, I think I am just being too optimistic when I assume that by 1492 (without a question mark) you were suggesting that we return this land to what it once was ... The Patriot Act. I still don't know what to think about that. I'm glad you're so sure of it. It's my own fault for not having gone through it step by step for myself ... but time is precious these days. However, as far as the other points we definitely agree on ... what can be done? I've written letters and I'll keep on writing. But beyond that? This movie seems like it could push these issues into the more "mainstream" mindset of the average American. I can't say I'm against that. I must admit you've aroused my curiosity with this quote: "Stop Globalization because it is the path to a one world government" Agreed, but that might entail either one of two possibilities, neither palatable to some or many is some groups of Americans.
What are these two unpalatable possibilites of which you speak? ------------------ "To learn is to live, to study is to grow, and growth is the measurement of life. The mind must be taught to think, the heart to feel, and the hands to labor.
