In view of the negativity of this forum at times, I would like to invite anyone here who has anything positive to say regarding Global Unity.

Feel free to post cool images, or suggestions for a better world etc etc....

And leave the war and stuff to the other threads....

In 2002, children throughout California expressed their personal messages about peace and the World Peace Rose Garden through poetry. Selected messages were engraved on bronze plaques that are placed throughout the garden. The founder of the International Rose Peace Gardens organization described these children's poems as living reminders that peace begins in the heart of each one of us, in our words, in our thoughts, and in our actions.

The text below is an alternative to viewing the slide presentation

HOW PEACE BEGINS
Peace begins with saying sorry.
Peace begins with not hurting others.
Peace begins with honesty and trust.
Peace begins with showing cooperation and respect.
World Peace Begins With ME!

Halley Hall
D.W. Babcock Elementary School
Sacramento, California

SYMBOLS OF WORLD PEACE
The world is a sacred place, a place for people to be happy, kind and nonviolent.
Let these flowers be symbols of World Peace.

Rob Scherer, Grade 6
St. Francis Elementary School
Sacramento, California

PEACE IS MANY THINGS
Peace is being quiet, caring for friends,
and giving hugs and kisses.
Peace is praying, loving, seeing animals sing,
being patient, sleeping, writing, singing to nature
and watching swans swim.

Peace is giving love to nature, giving joy to people
and planting flowers in the Spring.

Grace Horrocks, Grade 2
Self-Realization Fellowship Sunday School
The Lake Shrine, Pacific Palisades, California

A THOUGHT
People that walk the earth have a heart inside,
Put aside differences and join hands,
When prayers and dreams are answered,
Only then will we realize that
World Peace and harmony make us one.

Brandy Smith, Grade 5
Clayton B. Wire Elementary School
Sacramento, California

DREAM OF PEACE
Peace takes its flight like an endless ribbon
streaming out towards a
horizon of dreams.

Let dreams transcend into eternal peace,
uniting mankind forever,
one memorable day!

Zaneb Khalid, Age 13
SALAM Weekend School, California
(Sacramento Area League of Associated Muslims)

PEACE IS...
Peace is a cool breeze and the soft grass
with roses and tulips,
a rainbow above and the sound of the birds,
and the roses blooming and the ocean swaying
and people getting together.

Lexi Hom, Grade 2
Sutterville Elementary School
Sacramento, California

SINGLE ROSE
A single rose can make a garden;
A man for peace can change the world.

Jenny Leopold
Arden Middle School
Sacramento, California

ROSES FOR PEACE
If roses could make peace, plant a garden wide;
Let its beauty bring peace where soldiers died.
For roses don't fight or point a gun;
If rose could bring harmony,
Plant many and be done.

Catherine Lee, Grade 9
St. Francis High School
Sacramento, CaliforniaGo back up to main content

and for all our children.....

Children are born innocent. What happens along the way? Some children arent brought up in loving, caring environments. A good portion are raised in war zones. Perfect for breeding more "terrorists."

Btw what happened to the pictures I posted here? They vanished!

I'll put up my sig, which I always forget to do....

I travelled in the bookstore today, and found ways to quiet my mind.
Picked up ( finally) 'Zen and the art of Motorcycle maintenance'

------------------
Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water.
Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible,
nothing can surpass it.
The soft overcomes the hard;
the gentle overcomes the rigid.
Everyone knows this is true,
but few can put it into practice.

Cool Petron!

Yeah, I figure books will find you when it's time...
I know everyone has read it, and now it's my turn.
Synchronicity has been finding my hubby today too.
Interesting...
I think the best thing to do during a Mercury retrograde is to study books. Inner healing and all that.

It WAS silly of me to drop off a resume at a book store though.. I just want something simple and slower paced. (Of course they were advertising needing a manager.. hmmm)
I wonder what they'd pay me?
But merc retro, not such a good time.

And for dear jwhop and others who misunderstand my feelings for the USA and its people.....how COULD i hate them, when it produced such a genius as this guy

Why, I slept with him next to me for the best part of my teenage years....he kept me sane, happy and stimulated....he made me feel undertstood. Even when my mother lamented over my love for this man, and even at the tender age of 14 I knew, despite his dark persona, all of his craft was performed with tongue firmly in that painted cheek..

Who else could produce such a performer....and provider of joy?

Only in America hey guys....

YAY !!!!

Isis. What makes you think Peace Through Strength and a picture of a military plane makes sense?

No offense but...are you a ****** retard?

Any person with a brain should know that bombs don't bring peace.

I think you need to die so you can reincarnate again. You have no clue. About anything.

You will never be close to evolving spiritually on this earth plane.

Do us all a favor and die lady.
