This interview video with John Dean by Keith Olbermann on MSNBC regarding Dean's new book "Conservatives Without Conscience" may be very eye opening to some regarding what we are dealing with in the neo conservative Republican party and those who support and follow Bush.

Many of us have already suspected as much but Dean makes the case with the data he uncovered from sociologists who have studied this for 50 years that many conservatives of today need an authoritarian figure to guide them and willingly do whatever it takes to please that figure.

See if what you hear Dean say is the same things that you have sort of felt taking place in the government under Bush and Chaney's leadership and amongst the neo-conservative following of Bush and Cheney.

Yes, it is remarkable, AG. Fascinating and scary at the same time.

I guess the facts lend a lot of creedence to the term "sheeple" but that's a sad situation to be in when it comes to a democracy. It was the need for authoritarian figures that got us into this mess in the first place and which threatens the continuance of this democracy in the U.S. That's what I find very scary and trying to reason with people like this is like talking to a stump.
