Carma brought up many intellectual points and deserves an answer, but she won't be getting it any time soon. She was not accusatory, rude or racist. She was asking questions that most of us would have answered had we been questioned.

Lately we have had too many people that keep switching usernames in order to launch an attack. I am having a great time with BerrySweet (who has a very similar pattern of writing and posting accusations as a former Guru that doesn't post very often). It seems that if one questions the belief system of anyone that is NOT Christian, then we are considered racists.

Case in point- in astrology someone was quite angry at a Christian neighbor. I watched as others came out to bash on all Christians and defend other religions. I posted how ALL religions have been perverted by those that would do harm. It doesn't matter whether it is a Christian using the Bible to kill abortion doctors or a Muslim extremist using the Quran to kill infidels. I also commented on how people who have been persecuted should be more tolerant now. People that practice Wicca know what it was like back in the day to be persecuted- then I commented how many American Indian tribes dealt with Witches- killing them and putting slabs over their heads.

So, instead of understanding my words, which were not meant to cause grief, I was called a racists. BerrySweet indicated that I hate Indians (a term only someone not familiar with our current PC terminology) and use my Indian bloodline to bash Indians.

Then I was called on to produce my AI federal card. WTF? I could never imagine telling someone to prove to me they were Muslim, Wiccan, African American, Jewish or otherwise. That is one of the sickest things I have heard- but it seems that is what some people are coming to.

If they don't like what you say, they then attack you in such a way as to prove your astrological chart or your bloodline.

I am not even going to mention the implications that would stem from scanning and posting a birth certificate, drivers license, marriage certficate and such items as BS would like for me to post could cause.

Then I was told that I have justified the Trail of Tears massacre and that proves I am not an Indian. I have done no such thing and am quite appalled that people have to side step valid questions with outright assaults. Oh yes, and that according to my pictures I look like a "white" girl and therefore cannot be "Indian". LMAO...

DayDreamer, you are also doing this. Rather than answering a valid question you attack Carma and ask her to post her chart. Did you get that form of attack from Berry / IQ hunk?

Deflecting the question (what you perceive to be an attack) with a very REAL counter-attack making someone prove who they are with a chart is nuts. Carma never once called all Muslims terrorists or said anything insulting to the people as a whole. She did include valid facts, articles and laws and asked you to please comment on them. Of course you could not- instead saying this and that about America and then calling her ignorant.

The truth is you cannot answer the questions because YOU are ignorant to the way of life in Muslim countries. You have been educated and basically raised by the West but you speak on behalf of that which you do not know.

That is no different than the naive populations here that would get angry over any negative comment about American Indian tribes and would rather believe all Tribal people are full of peace, dreams and sage filled pouches. That is in insult to the tribe and racist on behalf of those people that would stereotype.

If people want respect for their beliefs, be it Wicca, Islam or Alien Worship for that matter, they need to extend that same respect to other religions. If someone wants to worship Skittles, more power to them, but don't attack the Wiccans or the Christians and then expect respect in return for your particular flavor of beliefs.

Daydreamer's complete and utter denial of the existence of a pscyhotic, unhealthy, evil element of Islam is as ridiculous as a Conservative Christian/Catholic trying to justify the Inquisition. Justification of the atrocities carried out in the name of Jesus would be utterly attacked here. But they'll justify the atrocities carried out in the name of Allah vociferously.

Again, hypocrisy at it's finest.

Instead you respond with the same mantra to anyone that questions you 'You are blind, you fail to see, you are ignorant, you are stupid, you know nothing of Muslim life".

Fine, then tell us. Tell us about Muslim woman living in Pakistan and how wrong the articles are and how wrong people like Walid Shoebot, the former PLO terrorist, are when they talk about the lack of rights for women in Muslim countries.

People do not learn unless you inform them and stating we are all blind or talk to much is just a way to deflect the topic, side-step the issue and control the conversation.

Carma's arguments, questions and general structure of her posts were not indicative of someone that is ignorant. She posted factual articles, she posted numbers and facts about various living conditions of Muslims and Muslim rule in various countries.

The fact that you could not answer a question, which I would have done in a heart beat had someone asked me to defend Christian extremists and talk about why they did and do certain things and to defend why I still consider myself Christian.

Jwhop has discussed his views on being Catholic and issues he has had with the Church.

ALL of the conservatives here have been asked again and again to justify why we voted for Bush, why we believe in the war on terrorism and why we are so stupidy conservative.

ALL the conservatives here have questioned Republican politicians without worried that another Pubbie would come out to bash them for their dismay on campaign finance, immigration and those that have come out against the war.

Stupid questions. Most sane people believe in democracy, equal rights. And Sharia law does not equate to living as a second class citizen. How the hell does she know about Sharia law? I don't even know the half of it. Has she studied it in university? It's quite a piece of work and has been influenced by men. Sharia law is not written in stone, and is not exactly the word of God. There are many religious aspects to it which make sense and are part of God's work but there are also parts that have been created by men and men who follow old traditions.

You are absolutely right about various attacks being used as a way to deflect the topic. Personally, I had seen many things used in GU- but now so many attacks are being thrown out in various forums.

Then we get people that jump on the bandwagon against one religion or another and that excerbates the problem. It used to be no one would even THINK about attacking someone's skin color (with the exception of a few) or even lump all people of one religion into one category- but now it seems to be hunting season on Christians LOL..

Isis is also 100% right. One Religion cannot expect to attack all others and then not expect to be questioned.
