DayDreamer unregistered	posted September 13, 2006 05:53 PM Are you in school for those subjects right now? I know how you feel about not being the type to stick to with one career. Becoming a professor would definitely be more intellectually challenginge and it's also wonderful because you get to research or work on projects related to a field you love...and teach students that actually want to learn...without all the hassles of babysitting and behavioural issues. There's also a lot of pressure to perform and come out with something new and worthwhile. Not a problem at all if you love what you're doing! What's your MC in and how are your 10th and 6th houses like? Also where's your Saturn? IP: Logged

Taught History and Political Science in high school....then went on to work as admittance councelor to minority students at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for ten years... Now he's working with our tribe...Started at Human Resources at our casino, but now works directly for our tribe on the Tribal Council....so he's held different jobs too.... SecretGardenAgain unregistered	posted September 13, 2006 08:27 PM hey DD just out of curiosity I was wondering if in Canada its the same system where a PhD is req for tenure track university professorship, or if a masters can get by. Im actually starting my PhD in January , but I wanted to do it anywaeys becoz I have a dynamite idea about price elasticity in international markets (yeah I know, bleh marketing/econ stuff for most ppl haha), which I wanna do some research and my dissertation on...wanna do academic research, university level teaching, and consulting part time all of which (coincidentally ) require a PhD. but im just wondering what the req'd education levels are in canada for teaching high school, college (2 yr colleges), and 4 yr unis, and if its the same as the US; in CA at least u need a PhD to be a tenure track (permanent) uni level prof, and a masters will get u part time work at uni or college, and a job teaching high school (u need a certification for teaching in the state of cali for college and high school)... With the moon ruling your sons sun and ascendant and mercury his moon I can see he would have made a very caring teacher...can also see his need for changing jobs too. Hey SGA, yes you need a PhD to become a professor here. With a masters you can work as a TA or teaching assistant. You can probably teach at the community college level with a masters. For high school however, what you need is a bachelors (3 years for a BA/BSc, and 4 for Honours), enough credits in two different subjects (because you have to have two teachables for highschool), plus a BEd(which is only 1 year). The more specialized and qualified/educated you are the higher your rate of pay. I wasnt exactly sure what I wanted to do in university. I finished a HBSC in Biology with enough credits in math to teach Math and Science-Biology. I also did a BA in Anthropology. And for the BEd it only took me one year at U of T. I was thinking about taking law?!...but I dont exactly want to be a lawyer. Still need to think on that one and pay off some debts and save some more money...thats essentially the only thing holding me back from further education/qualifications at the moment. IP: Logged

Its only happened to me a few times. Does it happen with you a lot? And if they come do you find there is a message attached to the name for the person concerned? IP: Logged
lotusheartone unregistered	posted September 14, 2006 12:40 PM Hi Sue..in this case with DayDreamer..it was not that way.. but many times..I see black typed letters on white that will give names and places..or I will have visions..like watching a movie..kind of. ... when you ask God questions..you will surely get answers... .
