Lotus Heart, you repeated exactly what I stated in my first post, "to love someone else, you must love yourself". There is no need to be repetitive, if you would look before you leap, maybe you could achieve your own personal peace. I'm only being truthful, if blunt.------------------

There is no such thing as World Peace nor will we ever achieve such a thing. All we have to do is look at our own family lives. We do not always have peace within family, school, community or even within a county. How can we expect the world to do the same?It is idealistic and beautiful, but impossible. However, we can achieve World Tolerance. Let's really think about the word Peace peace (ps) Pronunciation Key
n.
The absence of war or other hostilities.
An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations: roommates living in peace with each other.
Public security and order: was arrested for disturbing the peace.
Inner contentment; serenity: peace of mind.
There are levels of peace that we can achieve, but at what cost? What is one group is being misrepresented or even oppressed? Do we allow it to continue to "keep the peace"?
Tolerance is different - Tolerance –noun 1. a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality, etc., differ from one's own; freedom from bigotry.
2. a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions and practices that differ from one's own.
3. interest in and concern for ideas, opinions, practices, etc., foreign to one's own; a liberal, undogmatic viewpoint.
4. the act or capacity of enduring; endurance: My tolerance of noise is limited.
I don't think we can even begin to achieve peace if we don't first have tolerance for other people, their ideals, religion or ethnicity.
I know it sounds sad, but I like to look at how we can achieve something versus just saying it is what we'd like. IP: Logged |

But Lotus, you have to understand, that to achieve something peaceful one must not be spoon fed things they want to hear, but things that are the truth. If I went on telling lies about mankind, nothing would ever be accomplished and it would get worse. ------------------

Lotus, because the truth is strange, people would rather hear lies or misinterpretations of reality before they hear what is factual. And what is factual is that people are too ignorant of their own blessings while destroying them.------------------

we are all Learning and Growing..and at different levels..we must help one another..with LOve and Understanding..and respect.. instead of calling people ignorant..perhaps we could just understand..that each has their karma..and their lessons to learn.. we are all equal..all Children of God..with the Divine within... all to be respected..those that feel they are better..or more knowledgeable..are operating from ego... Lotus, those things don't need to be said, lets get with the truth here, when you speak of those things you waste time, that could be devoted to world tolerance, the things you say, the educated people of the world know, and the people who aren't educated, have common sense enough to be aware of it already.------------------

Lotus, this is reality, were not living in a fairy tale. I never personally called anyone ignorant, it was a generalization which was true because everyone has something that they are ignorant of. No human is omnipotent.------------------

-------------------- each person is so very important..not one is better than the other in God's way..for each has sown his seeds..and his deeds..shall all be shown to him/her..each must evolve..and Master..this World..or you will continue to be tied into this Earth existence..
There are other World's..Universe's..this is but one..of many...
Truth be told..there are stargate's..and ways to different places..we are not evolved enough..we must learn to LOve and Overcome..this karma..and come full circle..bringing Heaven and Understanding on Earth..

there are some that will not make it!

Oh My Goodness, am I talking to myself. Lotus thats just what I said, everyone has something they are ignorant of. Why not take the risk andlet yourself be ignorant for a small portion of time, if it means that others will acknowledge that they are ignorant as well. That is where true unity starts Lotus.------------------

No, its deeper than that lotus, not being afraid to make mistakes, and acknowledging ones own shortcomings, ingnorance, and failures will possibly bring unity. If more than one person could contribute.------------------
