Looking Good, Mirandee......  It ain't over, but it'sure looking good! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Democrats were poised to take control of the House and have taken three major Senate seats from Republicans tonight, as midterm election results from across the country continue to come in.
The Associated Press has projected that Democrats have taken 15 House seats from Republican control — enough to regain control if they hold all their seats in contests that are not yet settled.
I heard a commentator say,

I'd sure like to hear that phone call when bush calls up Nancy Pelosi, and says "Congratulations, Madame Speaker..."

At 2:39 am here in Michigan Democrat Claire McCaskill has been declared the winner in Missouri over Republican imcumbant Talent!!!Of the other two states Democrats are leading in both of them!!!! It is looking more than good, Rainbow!!!!! We are taking back America!!!!! God bless America and the whole world!!!!!

I am staying up (i am on pacific time) until I hear what happens in Montana. The only newspapers I could get in the park were from Montana, so even though I am a resident of WY I have been watching Montana politics... they HATE Burns!!yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!

I am in tears too MK but like yours they are tears of joy!! I want to stay up and watch it too but it could be weeks before we find out the results in the Virgina race since they are calling in lawyers and getting a recount. I think that all of this is mainly due to Allen being an important neo con who has presdential hopes for 2008. But in a close race like this one with the Dem who is leading by a slim margin I think that would dim his presidential hopes. So it really amounts to just whining. lol IP: Logged |
