BlueRoamer - I can't offhand think of anyone who is. Including the Mayans.

That's a shame about the incense. I think the Catholic Church has tossed aside too many valuable traditions in favor of keeping up with the times. The Latin Mass comes too mind. That was a fatal error.

Clearly, Tink, you are.

The catholic church still opposes abortions, still forces priests to be celebate, and opposes birth control. Moreover, the church claims that all its scandals are a result of the devil trying to destroy it.

Alot of other religions oppose those same things. Even so, you're not Catholic are you? If not, then don't worry about the belief system. Its not really your concern.

Oh, do I have to have a point? Can't I just wantonly bash large religious institutions?

I grew up in a catholic household, and I have many catholic friends and relatives, so frankly, it is my concern. Fortunately, all the catholics I know are wonderful people, non judgemental, accepting, and loving. So that does speak to the nature of the catholic church. I'm especially fond of the Franciscans.
