Naw VDI, I don't mind if you meddle in our election...just this once.

Now, you must admit that elections every two years are great for stimulating the US Economy.

It gives individuals who are otherwise so brain dead they couldn't possibly be hired in the private sector a chance to grab off some loot working on campaign staffs.

After the election, the moving industry is stimulated by moving those candidates to Washington...and the losers back home...unless they become lobbyists and stay in Washington. In that case they still get to move because their income is suddenly increased and they move to the mansions they have always coveted. What a great stimulus to the housing industry.

The incoming Congress stimulates the auto industry since they get a government leased vehicle...of their choice...and also the Insurance industry since Uncle Sam picks up the insurance premium too.

One could make a case that American election cycles are the only thing holding the American economy together.

It's a little hard of taxpayers however.

BTW, what do you think of yesterdays Wall street scare. Markets in Asia are bleeding bad and it was frontpage news in the papers today morning. My dad narrowly escaped losing a million in Futures. What is your take. Breathe easy or not ?

Hi, VDI. I posted that in this thread before in case you want to read the comments: Remember JibJab?

My favorite has to be the Obama bit.

"Gosh, I'm so tired of divisive exchange, and I've got a few words to say about change. Like the change we must change for the change we hold dear. I really like change, have I made myself clear?"

Though I do think it's hilarious that McCain's biggest flop is his age and health, lol. Even with the new ad about how he supposedly can't use a computer, etc. I mean, do the Dems even remember who comprises the largest and most consistently voting age group?
