Now, we find that Jeff Zucker, head of NBC helped with the disgusting indoctrination of the kids.

Perhaps this explains why MSNBC hired the two biggest loser leftists to fill slots on what passes for a news connected broadcast on MSNBC...Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews.

"The likes of Jeff Zucker, Holly Schiffer, Peter Rosenfeld, Darin Moran, Jean Martin, Andy Blumenthal, and Nick Phoenix rearranged schedules to participate. Holly Schiffer was able to get three High Definition cameras (Panasonic HVX250’s), and an AVID editing facility. When Jeff Zucker went to pick up the camera package, Ted Schilowitz happened to be there and offered a RED camera set up on a Steadi Cam."

Indoctrination and brain washing for the benefit of a political candidate. Kids who cannot possibly know the implications of what they're saying and let me tell you HSC, the deeds of O'Bomber in no way resemble his flyblown rhetoric.

We find the indoctrination of kids just like these in the Palestinian territories..where they're taught to chant and sing.

After finally seeing this, I can understand the disgust. I agree that it's beyond what's reasonable in a campaign. If they can't vote, they shouldn't be subjected to practicing choral singing for a candidate, and if an adult wants to get a choir together to sing about a candidate, they can do so with an adult choir.

We all get indoctrinated to our parent's politics to a certain extent while growing up, but there's a distinct lack of context in those years, so it doesn't sit right with me to see stuff like this.

I really disagree with using children to promote one's agenda. I agree with AG especially that if they wanted to sing for change, then the adults should be the ones doing it. These children aren't even able to vote. It isn't just a cute choir of kids singing something nice, it's a political ploy.

I remember in grade school being part of the donkey versus elephant "voting" process. Even that was uncomfortable because no one knew what the heck the difference between the two were (aside from animals) and neither did they understand the politics of red and blue and left and right. Kids "voted" according to their favorite color or animal, or for or against whatever their parents said. And still, no one went as far as saying, hey, candidate X, these children support you and here's a video to help your campaign!

It's just low.

Astonishing.

Shoving political opinion down the throats of unsuspecting young minds is indefensible. Are there minds out there so easily manipulated as to be swayed by this sickly sweet Hallmark BS?

I agree that we're all somewhat indoctrinated by our parent's poltical stance. Children imitate. But I think this is usually a natural process and the effects of it are easily purged as we grow older and develop our own perspective. The children in this video aren't just watching mom and dad argue politics over the dinner table.

Randall - could we get a "I think I'm going to throw up" icon?

HSC - I'd like to hear more about your position. Do you support these tactics? I'm not looking for a debate, but I'm unable to see this from another angle.

I dont think its a big deal, honestly.

The values in the song are noble virtues.

The fact that Barak is the symbol is fairly innocuous.

I mean, its not like the kids can vote.

I think its a little silly and hoaky, but whatever.

Raising kids to believe in a wrathful, jealous God,
who sends freethinkers to Hell for eternity (and this is a good thing, lol),
and who created the world just six thousand years ago, is a billion times worse.

But we can talk about Palin some other time.

Ok I'll save the date. Militant, materialistic Christianity gives me the shivers too.

I won't speak for anyone else, but, for me, the issue is that the children are being used as a poltical propaganda ploy, you know? Have you ever seen a small child at an anti-abortion rally holding a "please don't kill your baby" sign? Same thing from my perspective.

Utterly chilling video of Obama Freikorps
Thomas Lifson

First came the disturbing video of very young children singing the praises of Obama, in the style of North Korean children hailing the transformative powers of the Dear Leader.

Now comes equally or more disturbing video of older children, this time in uniforms, marching and proclaiming that "because of Obama" they will achieve various accomplishments.

Note the chant "Alpha, Omega" with which these youths march. That reference apparently means that Obama is their god, drawing on the Book of Revelation 1: 8 in the King James Version which reads “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last.”

Obama is running for president, not God.

That's a disturbing blend of stomp teams, political activists and churchgoers. They've the right to do ... whatever you want to call that. I do, however, always have to laugh at the use of fatigues/camo and especially here. Don't they know Obama is supposed to be the supreme dove? And they were so close with the Alpha, Omega bit, too.

I'm waiting for candlelit vigils on the Night Before Election when participants will hold large signs with Obama's face aloft and sing new variations of O, Holy Night and Joy to the World. Forget that old, commercial "Christmas". The new Light of the World is here. Celebrate Obamus!

Teacher suspended in Obama video scandal
Thomas Lifson

The shocking video of uniformed youngsters marching and chanting about Obama we blogged yesterday turns out to have been organized during school hours by a middle school teacher at a (taxpayer funded) charter school in Kansas City. The teacher in question, whose name has not been disclosed, has been suspended and may face legal charges.

Fox News reports:

The Junior Fraternity students studied Obama's economic plan with the teacher, and the superintendent did not know whether the teacher or the students scripted the routine. The group should have also studied John McCain's economic plan, the superintendent said.

In the video, eighth- and ninth-graders wearing military camouflage pants and navy t-shirts chant and perform a routine in the style of a step show, a dance popular among African-American fraternities at universities.

"People are upset that possibly taxpayer money is being used to support one particular candidate," [superintendent] McGautha said, "and now I can understand that. And I didn't condone them. I try very, very hard to remain within the limits of the law. I think this is unfortunate."

She said she was aware of the video, and that many of the school's activities are recorded, but that the teacher had been warned in a letter not to put it on the Internet. If he did, she said, he should seek legal counsel.

The teacher's fate will be taken up by the charter school's board, she said.

"Certain things don't happen in public schools anyway, but there area lot of other ramifications when you take it public," McGautha said.

"As far as [the teacher is] concerned, I think he gets what was supposed to come to him. But I don't think the children should be the victims of his stupidity."

I find it disturbing that the superintendent knew about the political indoctrination underway and only objected to it being made public on the internet. Now, she claims to be disturbed by the politicization of school activities. The fact that her charges have been indoctrinated to chant that "because of Obama" they will accomplish marvelous things in life is far worse than making it public.

Didn't Obama had similar training as a kiddo in Ayers house? No maths , no science , just radical ideologies.

Karl Marx, Mao, Stalin are the alpha and the Omega in their own countries

But difference is Obama ended up as an elitist wearing fine suit, manicured nails and polished shoes, all coming from tax payers money in the name of public service(these idiots don't have brains to get a real private sector job) while there is no guarantee what will happen to these pitiful students as they lack Ayers in their neighborhood

That's the ugly idea that leftists have been promoting for far too long under the guise of caring. To them, blacks (and all minorities) are obviously inferior and unable to care for themselves. They were born into intrinsically inferior stations and will never rise above them by their own apparantly weak wills. The only way minorities will ever elevate themselves, according to leftists, is if they are given miserly amounts of "aid" and never dare to succeed by their own means. Because otherwise they're sell-outs or not "really" black.

And that pitiful line of thinking is disgusting to those of us who actually believe that people can be whatever they dream of being, with dignity and pride for their own accomplishments.

But it's not surprising to find that diversionary tactic thrown here. Completely ignore the fact that a publicly funded school/employee is aiding the political indoctrination of minors in a most self-defeating mindset ["you can only achieve something in life because of Obama"] .... and instead focus on the fact that those kids are black. Obviously, under a white person's presidency, minorities have no possible chance to do anything with their lives. But that's not racist.

Because of my self-respect, I am the next architect. Nope, that's not right.
Because of my hard work, I am the next architect. Nope again.
Because of my dedication?
Because of the love and support of my family?
Or of my friends?
Or of my community?
Or of my faith?

Nope.

ONLY because of Obama.

I'm so happy to report that Jeff Zucker, the head of NBC who lent his energy and prestige to the O'Bomber indoctrination of children in the mold of those who indoctrinate kids in radical Islamic societies has now announced a half BILLION dollar cut back at NBC.

Cut backs at NBC are so well deserved when viewed through the lens of MSNBC and the foaming at the mouth and drooling idiocy of Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews. Perhaps that $500,000,000 could be better spent delivering factual news instead of spreading lies by leftist airheads as is the usual at NBC.

Keep up the good work Zucker and perhaps we'll be hearing about a 1 BILLION dollar cut next time...or better yet, the sale of NBC News to an organization which can actually produce and broadcast the "real" news.

NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN, all networks where the "Peter Principle" is alive, well and on display every day in living color...every night too.

NBC Universal preps for major cuts
Spending slashed by $500 million next year
By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER

NBC Universal is prepping another round of major cuts, slashing spending by $500 million next year.
Conglom topper Jeff Zucker announced the reduction Friday via a memo to staffers. Cuts would equal 3% of the company's budget, according to Zucker.

In the memo, Zucker blamed the current economy, arguing that NBC U needed to take precautionary steps despite coming off eight consecutive quarters of growth and profit.

"We are living in a time of unprecedented economic challenges, and it is increasingly clear that the worldwide economic slowdown will continue into next year," he wrote. "The leadership team of the company agrees that we must take steps now to prepare for these new economic realities. As a result, all of our business leaders are being asked to cut their spending projections for 2009."

Memo comes as NBC U division heads prepare to meet with Zucker to go over their 2009 plans. Each chief will be given their own discretion to decide how to make their 3% cut. In his note, Zucker suggested a variety of ways, focused on three areas: discretionary spending, such as travel and entertainment; promotion expenses; and staffing. He also stressed going through NBC U's sourcing department before making major purchases.

Unlike the company's 2006 "NBC 2.0" initiative, the company isn't specifically plotting a personnel reduction; it's unclear, therefore, how many staffers might be impacted by the corporate-wide spending cut.

"This kind of message is never easy, but it is the right step to make, and the right time to make it," Zucker wrote.
