So, now we find out that in exact opposition to what O'Bomber is saying about developing coal for energy use, he is on record as saying he's going to tax coal to the point it would bankrupt the industry...and the utility companies who build electric plants which use coal.

This guy is a Marxist Socialist intent on bankrupting not only the energy companies he despises but he's going to wage a war against America and Americans who depend on reasonably priced energy to keep our economy going.

Things O'Bomber won't consider:
No Coal
No Nuclear
No Oil
No Natural Gas
No Oil Shale
No Hydroelectric

If American citizens knew the US is sitting on the most abundant energy sources in the world...meaning we have more energy right here in the US than the rest of the world combined, demoscats would be lynched for the price of energy being charged to US consumers and businesses. These lying demoscats aren't against 4-5-6-7-8-10 or even $12 per gallon gasoline. They're only against being blamed for doubling the price of gasoline in 2 years by their no drill, no build policies. They should all be thrown out of the Congress of the United States and O'Bomber should be sent back to the utterly corrupt city of Chicago where he came from and where he belongs.

Now, we find out one of the leftist newspapers has been hiding an audio tape of O'Bomber threatening to bankrupt the coal industry. Everyone needs to listen to this; it's authentic, it's O'Bomber's voice and what he's saying is right in line with his Marxist Socialist views of using government against the citizens of the United States..because it's American citizens who are going to bear the costs of O'Bomber's BS programs.

There's nothing on the horizon to replace oil, natural gas and coal, yet, O'Bomber is acting like biofuels, wind and solar are all geared up and ready to go...and they're not, not by a long shot. All O'Bomber is going to do is make the United States uncompetitive in the world markets as we pay through the nose for energy. China is opening a new coal fired electric plant every week and plans to continue until they've got 2300 more in operation.

The US economy runs on energy..period. Make war on energy and you're making war on the US economy and American citizens.

Palin Unleashes New Attack Against Obama On Coal
Posted by Scott Conroy

(CBS)From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(MARIETTA, OHIO) - Seizing on a newly released audio tape picked up by the Drudge Report, Sarah Palin took the opportunity here in coal country to accuse Barack Obama of “talking about bankrupting the coal industry.”

“He said that, sure, if the industry wants to build coal-fired power plants, then they can go ahead and try, he says, but they can do it only in a way that will bankrupt the coal industry, and he's comfortable letting that happen,” Palin said. “And you got to listen to the tape.”

The audiotape Palin was referring to was recorded by the San Francisco Chronicle in a Jan. 17 interview.

“Why is the audiotape just now surfacing?” Palin asked, leading someone in the crowd to shout, “Liberal media!”

“This interview was given to San Francisco folks many, many months ago,” Palin said. “You should have known about this, so that you would have better decision-making information as you go into the voting booth.”

In the audiotape, Obama reiterated his call for a cap and trade system on carbon and greenhouse gases.

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can,” Obama said. “It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.”..........

As I've said here many times, the man made global warming hysteria is a total hoax, it's not in any way real but it is an issue upon which some can seize to gain power politically and financially and use to control the United States and it's citizens.

Our economy runs on reasonably priced energy. Skyrocketing energy prices...the O'Bomber, Pee-lousi and Reid plan is a direct attack against the American economy, American jobs and businessess and against American citizens.

Coal official calls Obama comments 'unbelievable'
11/2/2008 4:37 PM
By Chris Dickerson -Statehouse Bureau

CHARLESTON - At least one state coal industry leader said he was shocked by comments Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama made earlier this year concerning his plan to aggressively charge polluters for carbon and greenhouse gas emissions.

"What I've said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there," Obama said in a Jan. 17 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle that was made public today first on the Web site newsbusters.org, which calls itself "the leader in documenting, exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias." The story later was linked on The Drudge Report.

An audio excerpt from the interview can be found at YouTube.

"I was the first to call for a 100 percent auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter," Obama continued. "That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.

"So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."

Calls and e-mails to West Virginia Obama campaign officials seeking comment for this story were not returned as of Sunday evening.

According to the West Virginia Office of Miners' Health, Safety and Training, the coal industry provides about 40,000 direct jobs in the state, including those for miners, mine contractors, coal preparation plant employees and mine supply company workers.

West Virginia is the second largest coal-producing state in the country behind Wyoming and accounts for about 15 percent of all coal production in the United States. The Mountain State leads the nation in underground coal production and leads the nation in coal exports with over 50 million tons shipped to 23 countries. West Virginia accounts for about half of U.S. coal exports.

In addition, the coal industry pays about $70 million in property taxes in the state annually, and the Coal Severance Tax adds about $214 million into West Virginia's economy. The coal industry payroll in the state is nearly $2 billion per year, and coal is responsible for more than $3.5 billion annually in the gross state product.

"The only thing I've said with respect to coal, I haven't been some coal booster," Obama said in the San Francisco Chronicle interview. "What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as an ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it."

The senior vice president of the West Virginia Coal Association called Obama's comments "unbelievable."

"His comments are unfortunate," Chris Hamilton said Sunday, "and really reflect a very uninformed voice and perspective to coal specifically and energy generally."

Hamilton noted other times Obama and vice presidential candidate Joe Biden have made seemingly anti-coal statements.

"In Ohio recently, when Joe Biden said 'not here' about building coal-fired power plants -- this is exactly what will happen," Hamilton said. "Financing won't be directed here. It will all go aboard for plants elsewhere in the world. The United Sates is importing more coal today from Indonesia, South Africa and Colombia than we ever have.

"If we're going to create a situation where coal-fired power plants are at that much of a disadvantage, there will be new ones built. But as Biden said, just not here."

Republican presidential candidate John McCain's state director said Obama's statements are troubling, especially for West Virginians.

"I think this clearly shows the attitude the Obama-Biden ticket has toward coal," Ben Beakes said Sunday. "Rhetoric is cheap, but behind closed doors what they tell their supporters - that's what we have to take as gospel.

"They're definitely not friends of coal."

Beakes noted other examples of Obama and Biden making seemingly anti-coal statements, such as in February when Obama said he'd like to tax "dirty energy" such as coal and natural gas.

"And their cohorts in Congress make similar statements," Beakes said. "(Senate Majority Leader) Harry Reid (D-Nevada) said this summer that 'coal makes us sick.'

"This is an attitude and view that, to me, shows their hatred of coal. And therefore, their view would cost West Virginians thousands upon thousands of jobs."

Beakes touted McCain's view toward coal.

"John McCain has embraced coal," Beakes said. "He doesn't agree with everything in the coal industry, but his view of coal is positive. He will make it part of his energy policy. He's met with leaders in the coal industry and let them know that. He's sought advice from coal industry leaders.

"McCain understands that coal supports about 49 percent of our electricity in this country. He'll continue to make coal important. He wants to reduce our foreign dependency on oil."

Hamilton also said the Obama campaign needs to find varied sources for coal and energy advice.

"If they're victorious Tuesday, they'd better go to someone other than Al Gore on energy and environmental matters," he said. "They've tipped the balance way -- unnecessarily so -- toward protecting the environment."

There is a difference between coal and clean coal.

Obama and McCain supports clean coal technology . Coal is very polluting I think.

What Obama is proposing is that electricity price would skyrocket if they are powered by coal powered plants.

Will it happen within few months of his presidency (if he wins) or will he give time for these power plants to overhaul remains to be seen.

49% of all electricity generated in the United States is generated by coal fired electric plants.

O'Bomber wants to bankrupt the coal industry and also the utility companies which use coal to make electricity throwing millions out of work. These people pay taxes to cities, counties, states and the federal government and so do the coal companies and utility companies which use coal.

O'Bomber's Marxist Socialist energy plan will lead to rationing of electricity to consumers. How would you like your power turned off in the summer or winter? How would you like the government having control over your thermostat...as has been suggested in at least one state already?

On top of that, O'Bomber says there will be a racheting down of emission caps each year. That means that even if a clean coal plant is built using existing technology, they still won't escape his cap and tax nonsense because the emmission standards will be changed and lowered year to year. You don't change existing power plants each year because they cost billions to build in the first place.

Mannu are you still on the man made global warming nonsense...even though the earth has been COOLING since 1998? Even though record LOW temperatures are being set around the world? Even though locations around the world have and are reporting the onset of bone chilling COLD temperatures earlier than any in recorded history?

Man made global warming is a hoax and it always was a hoax. Before these crackpot scientists got on the global warming bandwagon, the same crackpot scientists were on the global cooling bandwagon predicting a global ice age...back in the 1970s.

This guy has it right. O'Bomber, O'Biden, Pelosi and Reid have it wrong.

Ohio Coal Association Says Obama Remarks Make It Clear: Obama Ticket Not Supportive of Coal Nov 3 11:42 AM US/Eastern

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire--USNewswire/ --

Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association (OCA), today issued the following statement in response to just-released remarks from Senator Barack Obama about the nation's coal industry.

"Regardless of the timing or method of the release of these remarks, the message from the Democratic candidate for President could not be clearer: the Obama-Biden ticket spells disaster for America's coal industry and the tens of thousands of Americans who work in it.

"These undisputed, audio-taped remarks, which include comments from Senator Obama like 'I haven't been some coal booster' and 'if they want to build [coal plants], they can, but it will bankrupt them' are extraordinarily misguided.

"It's evident that this campaign has been pandering in states like Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana and Pennsylvania to attempt to generate votes from coal supporters, while keeping his true agenda hidden from the state's voters.

"Senator Obama has revealed himself to be nothing more than a short- sighted, inexperienced politician willing to say anything to get a vote. But today, the nation's coal industry and those who support it have a better understanding of his true mission, to 'bankrupt' our industry, put tens of thousands out of work and cause unprecedented increases in electricity prices.

"In addition to providing an affordable, reliable source of low-cost electricity, domestic coal holds the key to our nation's long-term energy security - a goal that cannot be overlooked during this time of international instability and economic uncertainty.

"Few policy areas are more important to our economic future than energy issues. As voters head to the polls tomorrow, it is essential they remember that access to reliable, affordable, domestic energy supplies is essential to economic growth and stability."

The Ohio Coal Association (OCA) is a non-profit trade association representing the interests of Ohio's underground and surface coal mining producers. The OCA represents nearly 40 coal producing companies and more than 50 Associate Members, which include suppliers and consultants to the mining industry, coal sales agents and brokers and allied industries. The Ohio Coal Association is committed to advancing the development and utilization of Ohio coal as an abundant, economic and environmentally sound energy source.

They say burning coal is a leading cause of smog, acid rain, global warming, and air toxics. I believe all except global warming. It can be disputed. Here is the story of a plant in Oregon that uses algae to convert coal pollution http://gas2.org/2008/09/29/new-facility-uses-algae-to-turn-coal-pollution-into-fuel/

So Obama is really socialistic when he wants to punish companies.

Do I believe in Global warming or cooling? Even if I did any of them , no political ideas from the government is the solution.
I believe the earth will someday die and mans only future is in space exploration.

I believe Obama is pandering to liberals who believe in healing the planet. He wants their vote. He is truly like the story of a young man (lets say Obama) and an old man (lets say Uncle Sam) who went to sell their donkey and listened to everyone they met on their journey. At first both were walking and people said "why is this old fella walking, he cud sit on the donkey?" After sometime they met another person who told them why aren't both sitting on the donkey? So they both sat. After sometime someone said - you guys have no shame , why don't you think about the poor donkey. He must be tired. So the uncle steps down....the story goes they come across a bridge and the donkey is so shaken he falls in to the water and dies

MCCAIN GAINS IN ZOGBY POLL
By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann
11.3.2008

It’s only a one night poll, but John Zogby reports that his Friday night survey shows McCain leading Obama by 48 to 47. It’s only a one night poll (as opposed to the usual three day moving average) but it is 1,000 interviews. It is also over Halloween night! But it is the first poll in three weeks that shows McCain leading. What’s up? We think that the advertisement being run by GOPTrust.com is having an effect. It is an ad featuring Rev. Jeremiah Wright decrying America and calling it “the USA of KKK” while Obama sat, deaf-mute in the congregation. By bringing the shocking reality of Rev. Wright back to America’s TV screens; GOPTrust.com is performing an important public service. It is just not credible that Obama sat in the congregation for twenty years, asked the Reverend to officiate at his wedding and to baptize his children, titled his book after one of his sermons, and did not know the kind of vile, anti-American hatred he was spewing.

Because of private donations (which they can still receive and usefully spend until Monday morning) GOPTrust.com may have changed the entire election of 2008. Their courageous willingness to face up to what Rev. Wright says and what Obama apparently tolerates may finally be awakening the American people to the danger they face in the Obama candidacy. GOPTrust.com has raised $9 million so far. The amount that they are spending in the last four days on their ad (see it on GOPTrust.com) exceeds the amount being spent on any single McCain ad. It is fundamentally changing this election.

Tuesday is Election Day. But if Americans want to stop the Obama express from changing this nation in ways we can only begin to anticipate, it is important to go online to GOPTrust.com and donate funds to bring the message to the American people.

There is still time.
