The Online Cynic

Ah yes the online world... A virtual Jungle filled with all sorts of specimines; The overly Friendly Lovebirds, the lame whiney quacks who usually have no clue as to what they are talking about, or the extreme Neuron challenged Flamers. I mean just think of the usual reaction we get when we open one of those wierd threads:

However... To say that all flamers are brainless would be a total injustice to the vicious Cynic variety. Oh yes... They are quite exotic these beings; Feared only by those who don't know much about them.

The Online cynic is by every means a very private creature. Trust isn't something that comes easily to him/her since this being found out quite early as to how dark the internet Jungle can be and well... Trust leads to a state of weakness that they just can't afford to be in. The more evolved cynic is by far quite intelligent and knows not to take anything posted with much degree of seriousness unless he/she is sure that the source is credible and even then the cynic will ask the poster to give the URL... Just for self assurance .

Though what people fear about the online cynic is his/her straightforwardness. The cynic hold nothing back when it comes to identifying a problem and giving a solution even if it means giving no regards to plesentries or feelings. To them, the advice they give has the solution and that is what the poster asked for in the first place. This little attibute of theirs ends up making them quite unpopular or labled as the "troll" of a community, just out there to ruin everyone's day.

Well... I beg to differ people. See the cynic gives advice in its PUREST form; Avid of any misleading plesenteries which they regard as hinderence to the point they are trying to make. Whining people who tend to get burned by these guys need to get a grip! For the emos have been given a solid advice which could be one of the best ones they can ever get.

It may be hard to penetrate a cynic's shell but once a person has done enough good deeds to win their trust, that person would instantly find out that there is more to the cynic than just an unchanging death glare. Remember the cynic is just trying to break away from teh misma of the internet to give you the raw stuff; as it is.

So does it mean we can constitue these guys with hate and loathing? God no! Having an Oline Cynic's friendship is by far the most real thing you'll ever get in the virtual world. Earning it may not be easy... But its way worth the work .
